Reporters' school Wednesday afternoon. They are examining proof sheets and type which were "props" for the class. Miss Lindsey is shown serving Mrs. Robert Monsey (center), who writes for Central Point Parent-Teacher associations, and Mrs. C. W. Anhorn, reporter for Central Point Garden club and other groups. Mrs. Anhcrn was one year included among the group honored for excellent reporting. t: 4f'S A Seventy-one representatives of all types of organizations in Medford and the surrounding area attended the annual Reporters' school held by the Medford Mail Tribune Wednesday afternoon at the new Girls' Community club. Armed with pencils and notebooks, the group listened to a half-hour of instruction and then asked questions. Conducted by the women's department primarily for reporter submitting news to that department, the class is open to anyone interested. Wednesday the class attracted two student reporters from Hedrick Junior High school, both boys, and a lone man, Joseph W. Fritsch of Knights of Pythias. Left to right are Mrs. Doris Hughes, Central Point; Mrs. Carl Bergman, Rogue River, who sends news from the East Evans Creek-Meadows area; Mrs. William Harris, Butte Falls, and Mrs. Clyde Kell, Gold Hill. Also introduced was Mrs. W. H. Ziegfer, Jacksonville, who writes for Applegate Valley. Among those attending the tea held Wednesday following the Reporters' school at the Girls' Community club were ihree of the Mail Tribune Community Correspondents. Above, left to right, are Mrs. Laura A. McFall, Eagle Point; Mrs. H. H. Chapman, Hornbrook, Calif., and Mrs. Caroline Harding, Trail, who submits news from ihe McLeod area.
