Vro man will make their home at Route 1, Box 438, Medford, after Sunday, October 20, when they return from a wedding trip to Arizona. Mrs. Vroman is the former Mrs. Leona Crane, retired teach er in the Medford city schools. The wedding Vas held Sunday, September 29, at First Baptist church at nine o'clock in the evening. The Rev. James W. Neely officiated at the single ring ceremony. Following the wedding a re ception was held in the church annex attended by 100 relatives and friends. Mrs. Neely was in charge of the reception assisted by Mrs. Russell Uhrine, Mrs. Angus P. Lindstrum, Mrs. Don Minear, and Mrs. Knute Mead. Mrs. Donn Piatt sang and Mrs. Evelyn Graham played the wed ding music. Saturday afternoon prior to the Sunday wedding, Mrs. Crane was honored at a tea and bridal shower at the home of Mrs. John E. Patterson. 2300 Siskiyou boulevard, Ashland. Pouring during the afternoon were Miss Laura York, Miss Dorothy Wilson, and Mrs. Jack Collens. Assisting the hostess were Mrs. Alice Lynch, Mrs. Noel Davis, and Mrs. Roy Gil bertson. All are from Medford. Among the guests attending from Medford were Mrs. Blanche Canode. Jack William Pech (Classic photo) 0 Pech-ScmdersM Ceremony Held in Episcopal Church Sams Valley Miss Beverly Jean Sanderson, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Milton Sanderson of Sams Valley, became the bride of Jack William Pech. son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Pech, Lake Creek, in a ceremony held Friday, September 27, in St. Mark's Episcopal church, " Med ford. The Rev. George R. V. Bol ster officiated at the double ring eight o'clock evening ceremony. White and pink gladiolus in two large hand crocheted bas kets, made by the grandmother cf the bride, Mrs. C. R. Alexan-d der, decorated the altar for the ceremony. White bows and glad iolus decorated the pew ends. Miss Jo Ann Ritter, Miss San dra Whitesides and Mrs. C. El wood Hedberg assisted with the decorations. Mrs. William Fisher was solo ist. More than 150 relatives and friends attended the ceremony. Given in marriage by her fa ther, the bride wore a floor length gown of lace and tulle. Her veil was loaned by Mrs. Jim Higgenbotham, a recent bride, and -she carried pink rosebuds encircling a white orchid. Miss Joanne Ritter, Gold Hill, was honor attendant and Miss Betty Croxton, Sams Valley, and Miss Sharon Chase, Gold Hill, were bridesmaids. They wore ballerina length pink dot ted Swiss frocks with head dresses of pink and white net and velvet. Miss Ritter carried pink carnations while the bridesmaids carried bouquets of white carnations. Henry Pech Jr. served as best man for his brother. Lee Sanderson, brother of the bride, Gene Eccleston, and Neil Dusen berry, Trail, seated the guests. . For her daughter's wedding Mrs. Sanderson chose a mauve dress of iridescent satin with brown accessories. Mrs. Pech wore a lavender dress with lace insets and black accessories. They both had white rosebud corsages. Following the wedding a re ception was held at the Sander son home in- Sams Valley. Mrs. A. A. Alexander and Mrs. Lloyd Beers, aunts of the bride, cut and served the wedding cake. Mrs. J. B. Alexander, . great-aunt of the bride, poured the coffee while Mrs. Bob Sanderson, aunt of the bride, presided at the punch bowl. Mrs. Shirley Reed, great-aunt of the bride, was ax the gift table and Miss Marlene Pech and Miss Delores Sander son, sisters of the bridegroom and bride, were in charge of the guest book. The newlyweds are making their home at Route 2, Central Point, following a wedding trip to Disneyland. For her traveling attire the bride wore a pink suit with black accessories. Her cor sage was a white orchid. The bride is a graduate of Sams Valley schools and Crater High school. She is employed as a secretary by the Medford Chamber of Commerce. The bridegroom attended Eagle Point High school and Oregon Technical Institute at Klamath Falls. He is employed by Steve Wilson Logging company. Association Gives Shower for Couple Miss Marjorie Ann Hattan, Jackson county 4-H agent for girls, and her fiance, Donald Nichols of Ashland, were hon ored at a shower during the Jackson County 4-H Leaders' as sociation meeting Tuesday eve ning. Games were played during the evening and refreshments included a heart-shaped cake b?ked by Mrs. C. W. Anhorn, Central Point. The Central Point group was in charge of refresh ments. Miss Hattan and Mr. Nichols will be married in Genessee Valley, Ida., November 10. Miss Hattan has made her home in Medford since January 1956 and is scheduled to resign from her duties here October 12. The couple will make their home in Ashland following the wedding. Zuleima Temple To Mark Founding Zuleima temple. Daughters of the Nile, will hold a stated ses sion Saturday, October 12, at 1 p.m. in the Masonic Temple, Ash land. Founders' day will be observ ed, with the Coos Bay and North Bend Nile clubs in charge. Two Events Reported By Chapter Recent events of Beta Upsilon chapter, Beta Sigma Phi, have included a western party and a model meeting. The western party, held at the home of Mrs. Richard Knoll, was given for rushees and other guests. Providing western at mosphere were a live burro, an authentic covered wagon and saddles. All members and guests wore western dress, and each was presented a yellow necktie bearing his name. Dinner was served around an open fire, with games and group singing following. Entertainment chairman was Mrs. Neil Curry, assisted by Mrs. Wayne Harris and Mrs. Jack McCarey. ; Mrs. Arthur Brooks, ruslv captain for the event, was assisted by Mrs. Knoll and Mrs. R. L. Palmer. Guests included Mrs. Scott Davis, director, Mrs. Maynard Paup, Mrs. Roy Norcross, Mrs. John Selby, Mrs. Don Madden, Mrs. Fred Wilson, Mrs. Max Larson, Mrs. Joe Sayre, Mrs. Jack Givler, Mrs. Thomas Spatz, Mrs. Wallace Long and Miss Martha Spatz. The model, meeting was held October 1 at the home of Mrs. Wayne Harris. The president, Mrs. Carl Christensen, played a recording by Walter W. Ross, founder of Beta Sigma Phi, and each guest was introduced. Mrs. Walter Smith, program chairman, introduced members vho spoke on different phases of Beta Sigma Phi. Speaking were Mrs. Marsh Ramsby, Mrs. Larry Horton, Mrs. Richard Knoll, Mrs. James Judd, Mrs. Howard Blew, Mrs. Ray Bost wick and Mrs.. Arthur Brooks. Refreshments were served, with Mrs. Scott Davis pouring. Yellow roses centered the table. Guests included Mrs. Davis, Mrs. -M. N. Hogan, sponsor, Mrs. Jack Givler, Mrs. Roy Norcross, Mrs. Wallace Long, Mrs. Fred Wilson, Mrs. Donald Madden, Mrs. Robert Reid, Mrs. G. L. Fowler and Miss Dixie Dixon. Session Announced For Parent's Club St. Mary's Grade School Par ent's club will meet Monday, Oc tober 7, at 8 p.m., in the Ac tivities room of the school. All parents of children attend ing St. Mary's Grade school are cordially invited to attend. A special invitation is extended to parents of new first grade pupils. The room that has the most points for parents attending will receive a prize. fathers should make a special effort to attend as they will re ceive two points while the moth ers will receive one point, it is stated. Men Here Master Sgt. Stanley Smith and Sgt. John Patton of the United States Marine corps left Friday morning for their homes in La guna Beach, Calif., after spend ing several days in Oregon to hunt deer. Sergeant Smith also visited his mother, Mrs. Ola Smith, 722 King street, and his wife's par ents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Rinard, 1708 Thomas road. Chapter to Hold Friendship Night Reames chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, will observe! friendship night Thursday, Oc tober 10 at 8 p.m. at Medford Masonic temple. Gus Vlahos, Klamath Falls, member of the Estarl committee of the grand chapter of Oregon, will pay an official visit. Other grand chapter members who are expected to attend are Mrs. Vir ginia Wright, Myrtle Creek, grand Martha, Mrs. Letha Mur phy, Klamath Falls, member of the jurisprudence committee and Mrs. Melvin McGrew, Medford, member of the pay of represen tatives committee of the grand chapter. Mrs. Rex Note, Med ford, grand representative of Rhode Island in Oregon. Entertainment is planned and refreshments will be served in the dining room following the stated meeting. All members and visitors are invited to spend an evening with both old and new friends. Mrs. Jack Creager is chairman of the committee in charge of re freshments and decorations. The theme for the evening will be "The Cup of Friendship." . Returns Mrs. H. W. Wright, 113 Mistle toe avenue, has returned to her home after spending two weeks visiting relatives and friends in California. She visited her daughter, Miss Dorothy Wright in Los Angeles, and Mr. and Mrs. Escoe Fuller and Mr. and Mrs. Dick Halbert, all of Bur bank. Chapter AA Chapter AA, PEO Sisterhood will meet Wednesday, October 9, at 12:30 p.m. at the home of Mrs. C. C. Thompson, Scenic avenue, Central Point.
