The second load of a chemical to neutralize the cyanide cal cium hypochlorite arrived aft er midnight. The first 10,000 pound truck load was rushed from Detroit Thursday. "Everything is under control and we're not aware of any emergency at the present time," Ontario Provincial police said. The accident before midngiht Wednesday left residents in fear of their lives as reports circu lated the cyanide would blanket th area with deadly fumes if exposed to rain or dew. Police fo Enforce Crossing Stop Law Police Chief Charles P. Champlin has instructed officers to enforce the law making it necessary for vehicles to come to a complete stop before crossing railroad tracks when electric signals are in operation. When electric signals are not in operation, vehicles are not re- j quired to stop, he said. When the signal is in operation, all ve hicles must stop before continu ing if the way is clear, he added. The chief said the recent acci dent at the Stewart st. crossing is a good example of cars failing to come to a complete stop when electric signals at a crossing are in operation. Hawkinson's Opens Grants Pass Office A second office of Hawkin son's Tire service has been open ed at Grants Pass, according to C. M. Bismark, Medford mana ger. The new office will have its own service trucks and will han dle all types of gas and oil in ad dition to tire service. The Grants Pass station will be located at route 1, box 1290, at the north end of the city. Jack Pyle, the manager, A. I. Quackenbush, M. C. Hurt and Bismark all signed the one in corporation articles for the Jose phine Tire and Gas company in Salem Thursday.
