Governor Appoints Two Committees For Interim Study Salem W First of some 50 public members he will ap point to interim study commit tees created by the 1957 Legis lature have been announced by Gov. Robert D. Holmes. Three public members of the nine-member interim education study committee named by the governor are Elizabeth Ducey, Portland; Leo Marlantes, Sea ride, and Mrs. Paul Buck, Klam ath Falls. Problems of migratory labor in Oregon will be tackled by a committee including four public members appointed by the gov ernor. They are Dr. Hoyt Fran chere, Oswego, head of the div ision of humanities at Portland State College; Lawren King, On tario, a Malheur county rancher who employs migrant workers; Dr Daniel Wessler. Corvallis, head of the Presbyterian founda tion; and Dean Holmes, editor Several areas of study are ahead for the education commit tee. The Federal Fish and Wildlife service had requested the with drawel in cooperation with the Oregon State Game commission. Virgil T. Heath, Oregon sup ervisor of the Bureau of Land Management, said the acreage lies along both banks of the Des chutes between the abandoned Union Pacific railroad tracks and the Oregon Trunk line track from Sherars bridge to near Freebridge, Ore. The abandoned railroad bed would be used for an access road. However, the President told his news conference that he wanted to keep his personal pa pers during his lifetime. Eisenhower also expressed a wish that any paper or letter in which he may have "spoken dis paragingly of someone still alive" would be kept secret until that person had died. One is the 16 x 26-foot black and white mural "The Crucifixion" by Rico Le brun.
