It centers around the sub stance "Krebiozen" and around Dr. Andrew Conway Ivy of the University of Illinois, one of the nation's recognized cancer ex perts. Dr. Ivy and his backers assert that in Krebiozen they have found a drug which has been tried in hundreds of cancer cases and proved to be success ful. They insist that for humani ty's sake it should be now thor oughly tested on a large scale to find if it is the answer to cancer. A penitent book borrower silently stole up to the doorstep of a Brooklyn public library earlier this week and deposited a carton of 32 books which had been checked out in 1935, officials of the li brary disclosed Thursday. Librarians believed that the repentant reader, who preferred the classics may have been moved to remorse by the libra ry's recent plea for a return of 92.000 overdue books. The anonymous reader's fine calculated on the basis of 2 cents a day for each overdue book would amount to. 55,621, the library said. and say tests already have proved Krebiozen worthless. Smith has interviewed Dr. Ivy and his scientific opponents. He has prepared five dispatches telling in full the story of Kre biozen and giving the views of its supporters and antagonists.
