Edward E. Gore, 116 Geneva street, whoe family includes ihree daughiers
ond two grandsons, celebrated his 83th birthday June 5. A native of Jack
ton county, Mr. Gore wcs born on the Gore ranch near Voorhiss crossing, a
ton of Emerson E. and Mary Gore. He was in business in Medford for
many years in the firm of Warner, Wortman and Gore, Inc., and with his
brothers, Valter, Willicm and John, made up a quartet which sang at
countless ceremonies and functions for 25 years.

Dr. ond Mrs. Raymond W. McNair and their three sons were delighted when the fourth
hi Id, born last Sunday, was a girl. Dr. McNair is shown here with nine-year-old George
s they left the family home at 229 Valley View drive to visit Mrs. McNair and Sarah
Martha at the hospital. Bill, 7, and Charles, known as Chuck, were away on visits last
week. Dr. McNair, an orthodontist, was born in Bandon, Ore., and practiced in Klamath
Polls before moving to Medford. He is a Rotarian and the family attends St. Mark's
Episcopal church.

James P. Rowan, 828 Minnesota avenue, was named Father of the Year by Jackson County Cow Belles, and th
women of the group will present the Rowans a roast of beef for his Father's day dinner. Mr. Rowan was nomi
nated by the Camp Fire Girls. Mr. Rowan, investment broker, is shown here with his children, James Jr., 10, at
feft; Rebecca, 13, holding her 7-months-old baby sister, Mary, and John, 7'.j. They ere seated around the corrom
board, a game at which the two boys excel. Mr. Rowan is on the camp committee and board of the YMCA, is a
aeacon of First Presbyterian church, a member of Rogue council. Camp Fire Girls, and a member of Founders' Service
organization of Rogue Valley Memorial hospital.

Carl M. Brophy, Medford attorney, and two of his three sons paid a visit to Sacred Heart hospital last week in
order that the boys might see their new baby sister. Mr. Brophy holds Patrick, 2, while Tim, 5, has a big smile
for sister Kathleen, born June 6. Baby Kathleen, shown in the arms of Mrs. William Driscoll, couldn't go home
with Mrs. Brophy because her older brother, Mike, 7, came down with the measles. The Brophys, who live ot 1517
Terrace drive, attend Sacred Heart church ond Mr. Brophy is vice-president of the YMCA board of directors and
a member of the Jackson County Bar association, the Elks lodge and the University club.

Oliver P. Taylor and his family are away on a camping vacation and will spend Father's day boating on one
of the nearby lakes. The Taylors planned to spend part of their time at Shasta lake ond then go on to Lake of
the Woods or another of the Oregon vacation spots where boating is available. Pictured just before leaving their
home on the Jacksonville highway are Janice, 10; Mrs. Taylor and Gregory, 3; Mr. Taylor and Denna, aged 10.
Bathing suits and water skis were packed along with other clothing and equipment for outdoor fun. Mr. Taylor,
an accountant, and his family are active members of First Methodist church and he is a member of the Crater
Lions club and on the advisory board of Medford Solvation Army.
