Thin Graham closed the door on what had been a possible ex tension of the crusade even be yond July 21, a date, which itself represented a three-week exten sion beyond the original June 30 closing sermon. Plans Not Revealed He told reporters his announce ment did not mean the crusade "team" was "finished in this area." He said he was unable to reveal at this time plans being formulated for further evangel istic work in the New York vi cinity. Graham expressed "immense satisfaction" with the crusade, which has been packing Madi son Square Garden since it open ed May 15. It will be capped off the final night with a huge revi val in the 67,000-seat Yankee Stadium A second phase of the current crusaci as a program of "evangelistic v i s it a t i o n s" in which nearly 2.000 churches will take part. Visits to the churches by Graham and members of his crusade team will run through Oct. 27. Services Unavailable Graham explained that his staff had taken a "sampling of feeling" among members of the 1.500-voice choir, 6,000 counsel lors who give guidance to con verts, and other voluntary work- i ers and it appeared a great num ber of them would be unable to contribute their services all i through the summer. "We don't think that through the hot summer munths we could sustain the crusade at its current pace," Graham said. "In our hearts we feel we ought to close July 21." International Fleet Breaks up Norfolk, Va. U1 The great international review fleet today broke its formation off the Vir ginia shore and began dispersing for the oceans of the world. The Navy ordered 35 ships of the 18-nation fleet including the American heavy cruiser Des Moines to return to port before dawn. At the same time, a powerful task group led by the command cmi!-er .Nortiiamptun prepared to -sail fur Rio De Janeiro during the day. The rest of the 111 ship fleet began the difficult precision operation of returning to their Norfolk piers by sunset. All 33 foreign ships were scheduled to return to port with the remaining American ships. The fleet will remain open to the public until Monday.
