MAIL TRIBUNE THREB Student to Spend Summer Abroad; Wins Scholarships Miss Shirley Lynch will leave Thursday by air for Port land, New York and Weisbaden, Germany. She will spend the summer abroad, returning home in time to enter Lewis and Clark college, Portland, for her senior year. Just before the close of school last week Miss Lynch was ap pointed activities chairman of the Associated Students of Lewis and Clark college, and has re ceived two scholarships for the coming year. One is a partial tuition scholarship from the col lege, anrt the second is a $100 scholarship awarded the student by the grand chapter, Order of Eastern Star in Oregon. Miss Lynch has participated in a numljer of campus activities, and sing in the college choir. Her parents. Mr. and Mrs. John B Lynch. Kenwood avenue, motnred to Portland and brought Miss Lynch home.
