(The chemicals are available at drugstores.) New luminescent permanent and washable inks: Rinse the spot with clear water as soon as possible. For wash able ink on washable fabric, wash in soapsuds and then, if necessary, soak. Place a pad of clean cotton cloth under the spot, and apply carbon tetrachloride drop by drop, while rubbing gently with a smooth metal or glass object (photo 3). Change the position of the pad frequently, continuing the treatment until no more ink appears on the pad. Next, apply acetone in the same manner until the spot is gone. Dry thoroughly. Ink stains on skin: Wash with pumice-type soap. Rub bing alcohol or lemon juice helps to remove stubborn stains and spots.
