FOUR MEDFORD (OREGON) MAIL TRIBUNE Medical Students To Be Graduated Two Medford students are scheduled to be graduated from the College of Medical Evangel ists at Loma Linda, Calif., in June. They are Max V. Miracle, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur J. Mira cle of 1702 Corona avenue; and Howard D. Huenergardt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry . Huener gardt of 51 South Stage road, Medford. . May 3, 1957 Happy Memori Of Mother-Daughter Banquet The annual mother and daugh ter banquet, to be held in the First Methodist church Tuesday, May 7, at 6:30 pjn., will portray the theme "Happy Memories" through a display of wedding pictures and a fashion show of wedding gowns. Mrs. Carol Adams, in charge of the wedding picture display, has two groups covering three generations. The picture of Mr. and Mrs. Hiram L. Baker, mar ried in 1868, will be shown, with that of her daughter, Mrs. John A. Bloomfield, married in 1913, and her grandddaughter, Mrs. S. R. Bailey, married in 194S. Mrs. George Lawless will bring the wedding picture of her par ents, Mr. and Mrs. C. S. Fisher, married in 1910, and their 50th wedding anniversary picture. Mrs. Lawless will also show pic tures taken at the wedding of her daughter, Mrs. Jerry Igo. On display will be the wed ding pictures of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Brood, married in 1912, and that of their daughter, Mrs. William Wilson, married in 1952. Mr. and Mrs. H. G. Wilson, married in 1893, will present the picture of their wedding and that of their daughter, Mrs. C. Norman Gail, Gold Hill, who was married in 1933. The pic ture of the Wilson's 60th wed ding anniversary will be shown. Mrs. John Kent will model the 65-year-old wedding gown be longing to Mrs. K. A. Hayes, and Mrs. Ben Greaser will show the 56-year-old gown worn by her mother-in-law, Mrs. Frank A. Greaser, at her wedding. Background music for the eve ning will be presented by Miss Nancy Walstead, violinist, ac companied by Miss Karen Pasch ke at the piano. Special music will be given by the girls trio, Miss Rosemary Doolen, Miss Sue Donna Doolen and Miss Karen Sloniger. Those desiring reservations for the banquet are asked to call the office of the First Methodist church Monday. Book Review Group Plans Last Sesibn . The last monthly meeting of the season for the Afternoon Book Review group of the American Association of Univer sity Women will be held Wed nesday, May 8, at the home of Mrs. Neil Davidson of 1703 Lenora ' drive.- Mrs. Lawrence Buonocore will present the pro gram for the " afternoon with Mrs. Orrin Brown assisting Mrs. Davidson. at: ROXY ANN MARKET and CRATERIAN BEAUTY SALON" Carlile-Ryn Marriage Rites Held at First Church of God An Easter wedding was held April 21 for Miss Doris Marie Ryn and Darrell Lee Carlile at First Church of God in Medford. The Rev. Darold H. Jones of ficiated at the three o'clock afternoon double-ring ceremony attended by 130 relatives and friends. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert P. Ryn of 912 Narregan "avenue. The bride groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Owen H. Carlile of Chino, Calif. For her wedding the bride wore a ballerina length dress of white net and lace fashioned with sweetheart neckline and matching bolero. Her fingertip length veil was held by a lace headband and she carried a white orchid on a white Bible. She was given in marriage by her grandfather, Clarence Apple- gate of Denver, Colo. - Miss Betty Hershiser was hon or attendant with Miss. Sharon Fox, a cousin of the bride from Denver, and Miss Sandra Maxon as bridesmaids. They wore bal lerina length gowns of blue net and carried bouquets of lillies of the valley and bleeding hearts. Little Sherri Kimmel of Eagle Point was flower girl and Otto Ryn, brother of the bride, was ring bearer. Don Guyer served as best man while David and Paul Ryn, brothers of the bride, seated the guests. Miss Leola Miller played the traditional wedding music an-3 accompanied Mrs. Darold Jones, soloist. Following the wedding a re ception was held at the' church. Miss Jean Simpson cut and serv ed the wedding cake and Miss Leota McCullough and Miss Bev erly Sheffer poured the punch. Miss Barbara McCormick was in charge of the guest book. Robert Martin and Marvin Guyer seated the guests. r For her daughter's wedding Mrs. Ryn chose a blue and white nylon print dress with white ac cessories. Her corsage was of lilies of the valley and bleeding hearts. . For her traveling attire the bride wore a green ;knit dress. The newlyweds took a wedding trip to Portland. The bride is a student at Med' ford High school and will make her home with her parents until June. The bridegroom attended Townsend Club Council Session Held Here Today Delegates representing all Ore gon Townsend club councils will meet at Carpenters Hall, itivz West Main st., today at 10 a.m. Ed Cofer is chairman , of' the fourth district councils. After the business session, a potluck luncheon will be held at 12:30 p.m. Among clubs to be represent ed are Portland, Lebanon, Cor- vallis, Springfield, Cottage Grove, North Bend, Coos Bay and Salem. - . Finis L. Snodgress, state club reDresentative. will speak after luncheon and a question and an swer period will be held. The session will be open to the pub lic. ' At last Wednesday's auxiliary meeting, Mrs. Enos Naffziger presided. Thirty-two club mem bers and four visitors were pres ent. Comments were made on pro visions of the new "pay as you go" national insurance bill. The closing program featured the ed ucated dancing Pomeranian ca nine named "Laurie," owned by Mrs. Adeline Wheldin. The dog, dressed in costume and bonnet, kept time with a tune from small Swiss music box. Kneeling before small lighted candles, the dog bowed its head in silent prayer. Son Here Harold G. Wilson Is the house guest of his mother, Mrs. Helen A. Wilson, 621 South Holly street. Mr. Wilson is en route to attend a conference in Lcs Angeles as a representative of the engineering department of Shell Oil company. Elks to Hold naugural Ball The annual Elks Inaugural ball will be held Saturday, May 11, at the Medford Elks temple starting at 10 p.m. and continu ing until 2 a.m. Music will, be by the Starlighters of Klamath Falls. Informal dress will be suitable for the dance. Dancing will be in the lodge hall, and a buffet supper will be served at mid night in the party lounge. ; -.
