J. FOURTEEN MEDFORD (OREGON) MAIL TRIBUNE Friday. April 5, 1957 Girl's Shooting Of Geologist Said Not Accidental Clinton, N. J. (U.R) A police official said Thursday night the shooting of a Salmon, Idaho, geologist by the daughter of a prominent attorney and former prosecutor in the Lindbergh kid naping case was m accident. Sandra Hauck, 15-year-old blonde, was in an hysterical con dition and under sedatives in her home when Detective Chief Ray Bastedo announced issuance of a complaint of arrest. In Flemington, N. J., geologist Dr. Thomas Stoetling. 56, fought for his life in Hunterdon County Medical Center with a bullet wound in the abdomen. He was a house guest in the Hauck home when the shooting occurred. The girl's father called the shooting "accidental." "Frankly, we don't believe it," Bastedo was quoted as say ing in disclosing the complaint, a legal device which permits Sandra, a juvenile, to remain in er parents' custody while Resolution To Add Legislature Members Receives Approval Salem (U.R) The Oregon Senate late yesterday passed Senate joint resolution 9 calling for the addition of one member to the Senate and one to the House, giving the Senate 31 members and the House 61. The other two Democrats voting for the resolution were Sens. Jean Lewis of Portland and Harry D. Boivin of Klamath Falls. Changs in Constitution Should the resolution pass the House, the proposal, involving a change in Oregon's constitution, would be referred to the people at the 1953 general election. And should the people approve it, the extra member to each cham ber would be elected on the basis of population as determin ed by the 1960 federal census. The vote was taken after Sen.
