Rob ert Erickson, cousin of the bride, and John Mullen ushered and seated the guests. Miss Deloris Young, cousin of the bridegroom, played the tra ditional organ wedding music and Ray Young and Mrs. Wal lace Nylander were soloists. Following the cermony a re ception was held in the church annex for 250 guests. New president for chapter CG is J.Irs. E. L. Bartholomew while Mrs. R. G. Smith is new presi dent for chapter CP. Other CG officers are Mrs. Wayne W e 1 1 y. vice-president; Mrs. Kenneth Johnson, corre sponding secretary; Mrs. K. ' S. Campbell, recording secretary; Mrs. J. D. Montieth. chaplain; and Mrs. Eddie Simmons, guard. New officers that will hold office for the coming year in chapter CP are Mrs. I. A. Mirick, vice-president; Mrs. A. R. Scho enberg, recording secretary; Mrs. C. H. Paske, correspond ing secretary; Mrs. T. M. Gar hart, treasurer; Mrs. R. A. Elli ott, chaplain; Mrs. W. C. Knope, guard; Mrs. D R. Gardner, his torian; and Mrs. G. R. Polski, musician. Chapter CG will meet for luncheon Wednesday, March 20. at 1 p.m. at the home of Mrs. Welty, 237 Girard drive. Mrs. G. T. Haupert will assist. Program for the meeting has been arranged by Mrs. J. Scott Heatherington. with Walter Hig- gins as guest speaker. A program on the state of Iowa will be given by Mrs. Mir ick at the meeting of chapter CP Wednesday, March 20. at 12:30 p.m. at the home of Mrs. J. R. Sanborn. Mrs. Mirick will assist the hostess. Delegate to the state conven tion is Mrs. Mirick with Mrs. Garhart alternate. Mrs. John A. Graff Jr. is the chapter's dele gate to the supreme convention. National Officer Visitor in Oregon Mrs. Ellen R. Hawk, Appolo, Pa., national president of the United Spanish war Veterans' auxiliary, made her official visit to the auxiliary's Department of Oregon in Portland March 12 and 13. She was honored at a lunch eon Tuesday noon at the Heath man hotel and at a reception and banquet that evening, also at the Heathman, arranged by the department president, Mrs. Don Anderson of Medford. and her staff. During the day, Mrs. Hawk also spoke at a round-table dis cussion of auxiliary policies and projects and visited the Veter ans' hospital. March 13. following a no-host breakfast. Mrs. Hawk visited Multnomah Falls and the battle ship Oregon Museum. She left late Wednesday for Tacoma, Wash. Arrangements for her Port land visit were made by Mrs. Anderson, Mrs. Iva May Hardes ty, Portland, department senior vice-president, and Mrs. Maymc Love, Portland. Mrs. Anderson was accompanied on her trip to Portland by Mrs. Renne Grosh, department secretary; Mrs. Har ry Barneburg, department treas urer and Mrs. Mabel Nicholson, all of Medford. The association and auxiliary held a banquet at Mon Desir inn Wednesday night, with 70 members and guests attending. Rehearsals Open Wednesday For Stedman Tribute Review The "Salute to Bob Stedman," a musical review sponsored by Medford Footlighters in coopera tion with the Medford school system and Medford residents, will move into full scale rehears al next Wednesday evening at Medford High school auditori um, announces Mrs. IvaTi Burton, general chairman. The production, a tribute to the high school drama coach, Robert D. Stedman, recuperating in a Portland hospital after a long illness, will open the eve ning of March 28 for two nights. The review, made up of a great variety of musical, dance and sketch numbers will never- the less follow a single theme throughout. The theme, entitled "A Day on Delancey Street" was suggested by Footlighter actor Frank Buchter, who will appear as an actor in one sketch and serve as stage manager and di rector of crowd scenes for the show. Musical direction and arrange ments as well as first piano ac companiament will be handled by Ray Lewis, McLoughlin Jun- o son, Seattle, Wash. The couple left on a wedding trip to Los Angeles and River side and will make their home in Medford. The bride is a senior at Med ford High school. Mr. Krause is a graduate of Medford High school and is employed at F. W. Woolworth company. Card Party Mrs. W. H. Arnold will be hostess for a Mistletoe club card party at her home on Arnold lane Wednesday, March 20. Des sert will be served at 12:30 p.m. with pinochle and canasta to follow. ior High school musical instruc tor. Assisting him on the second piano will be Mrs. William Ken- nerley. Paul Gandt, teacher in the Medford schools, will act as nar rator for the foreign movie se quence in the show, Caesar Muzzioli will be heard in an ac cordion act; Colleen Hope will direct chorus numbers and par ticipate in a dramatic dance number "Slaughter on Tenth. Avenue" and Mrs. Stanley Za- pell, who is substituting at the school for Mr. Stedman, will be a featured player in various acts throughout the show. Appearing in a spotlighted song and pantomine number will be Mrs. Burton, while Larry Brunette, a Junior high school instructor, will enact the role of a singing Irish cop. A girl's trio and a boy's quar tet will siiig. throughout the show, and Russ Jamison, in the character of an Italian organ grinder, will keep the theme running as a sort of undercover master of ceremonies. Thayer Tarvin and Jerry Jerome from the Footlighters will take part in blackouts and skit numbers and Medford High school drama class will fill in as individual and group characters on Delan cy street. Handling radio publicity for the show will be DeVere Taylor, and Mrs. Max Wimmer will be in charge of properties. Easter Dinner, Fashion Show Planned by Sojourners' Club Sojourners will entertain hus-i bands and guests with a Baron of Beef buffet dinner and Easter fashions in the Pioneer room ofl the Jackson Hotel, Friday, March 29 at 7:30 p.m. Provisions have been made in the menu for those observing Lent. The program, an Easter fash ion parade, will feature women's fashions from Town and Country Dress shop; hats and bags from Hadley's; women's shoes from Burelson's; and mens fashions from Barker's. Mjs. Floyd Robertson, gen eral chairman and Mrs. Jim Win slow, co-chairman of this event have made special arrangements for fight enthusiasts. There will be a television for viewing the fights at the hotel. Model chairman is Mrs. M. H. Parsons. Reservations may be made by contacting Mrs. E. Ingram. 3-4037, Mrs. D. Madden, 2-9725, or Mrs. J. Asher, 3-1916, not later than March 26. New members welcomed at the meeting on March 14, at the Pythian hall were Mrs. J. S. Laird, Mrs. W. J. Williams, and Mrs. Gerald Pullen. Hostesses were. Mrs. Jim Win- slow, Mrs. Lewis Smith, and Mrs. Marvin Nolson. They car ried out the St. Patrick's theme in both the refreshments and the decorations. Response to the coat hanger drive was excellent. The prize for the most hangers went to Mrs. Winslow, who brought about 275. Bridge prizes were won by Mrs. C. M. Lee, and Mrs. Marvin Nelson. Pinochle prizes went to Mrs. Walter Marquess and Mrs. E. E. Larsen, and canasta prizes to Mrs. Frank Stratton and Mrs. Carrie Walters. Sojourners is an organization devoted to the interests of new comers to the city and any wom an who has lived here two years or less is eligible. Reames Chapter Elects Officers Mrs. Morris Boughner is the newly elected worthy matron of Reames chapter, Order of Eastern Star. Mr. Boughner will serve as worthy patron with his wife. Other officers, elected at the last meeting of the chapter, are Mrs. Etta McKinney, asso ciate matron; Herbert Morris, as sociate patron; Mrs. Ray K. Bailey, secretary; Miss Pauline Champlin, treasurer; Mrs. Frank C. Roberts, conductress; Mrs. Roy Nordwick, associate conductress. Nevita Past Matrons To Meet Wednesday Nevita Past Matrons' club will meet at the home of Mrs. Har old Head, 1415 Euclid avenue, Wednesday, March 20, at 12:30 p.m. Luncheon will be served, with Mrs. Gay Husband serving as co-hostess. A business meeting will follow. In Orchestra Claremont, Calif. Miss Shir ley Stafford or Medford is a member of the Pomona College Symphony orchestra which pre sented the annual concert on the college campus Sunday. Ken neth C. Giske, professor of mu sic, is conductor. Miss Stafford, a violinist, is a freshman mathematics major at Pomona. The daughther of Col. and Mrs. Charles E. Stafford, 1914 Westerlund drive, she is a 1956 graduate of Medford High school. Reames Social club will hold election of officers at the month ly meeting Wednesday, March 20, at Medford Masonic hall. The meeting will be preceded by a luncheon served at 12 noon. Members celebrating their birthday anniversaries during January, February and March will be honored. Osier was el ected president of Scottish Rite Women's club at a meeting held March 11 at the Masonic temple. Mrs. Frank Salvers retiring pres ident, conducted the meeting. Miss Kristy Garner Honored on Birthday Miss Kristy Ann Garner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wil liam Garner, 2995 Buckshot road was honored on her ninth birth day March 8 with a slumber party at her home. Those helping Kristy Ann cel ebrate were Marta Wilkinson, Gayl Johnson, Ellen Heiden- reich, Cheryl Stergil and Ilene Mitchel. A barbecue dinner was served and a large Easter bunny cake was baked for the occasion by Mrs. Jack Wilkinson. Early Days Theme For Club Meeting Early days in Oregon was the theme of the dav when College Women's club of the Rogue Riv er Vallev met Saturday. Lun cheon for the 60 members and guests was served in the Jack sonville Masonic temple. Mrs. L. C. Eoardman played two piano selections and Mrs Jack Harris was soloist.
