Central Oregon Highway To Open on Saturday Salem (U.R) The Central Oregon highway which has been closed from Juntura to Vale, will open to traffic at 8 a.m. tomor row with some spots of one-way traffic, the State Highway De partment reported today. Highway officials said the Crown Point secondary road was still closed from Troutdale to Dikes bridge and from Multno mah Falls to Dodson and the Olds Ferry - Ontario secondary road remained closed at Malheur 1 river bridge. Henderson, 84, of 604 Park St., will be held at the Perl Fu neral home Saturday at 11 a.m. The Rev. Dexter Williams of the Church of Christ will officiate. Interment will be in the Central Point cemetery. Mrs. Henderson was born in Ukiah, Calif., Nov. 20. 1872, and ras been a resident of this com munity for the past 59 years. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Rebekah lodge, Woman's Relief corps, all of Central Point. Survivors include one daugh ter, Mrs. Vira A. Lewis, one son. Carl W. Henderson, both of Medford; two sisters, Mrs. Lil lie Houston, Mrs. Eva Rogers, both of Sacramento, Calif.: one granddaughter, Mrs. Mona Stone and one great granddaughter, Donyas Stone, both of San Fran cisco, and several nieces and nephews. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to the Polio Fund in care of the local postmaster. AUDREY H. PURDIN Ashland Funeral services for Mrs. Audrey H. Purdin, 64, who died Wednesday, will be held in Ashland Mortuary chapel Satur day at 9 a.m. The Rev. Ross Knotts of the Methodist church will officiate. Committal will be in the Mt. Shasta cemetery with the Rev. Harold Engdahl in charge. Mrs. Purdin was born Aug. 3, 1892, in Oakridge, and had lived in Oregon all her life and in the Rogue valley since 1939. Her husband, Charles O. Purdin pre ceded her in death in 1948. Mrs. Purdin had been living in Medford for the last year, moving there from Ashland. She belonged to Hope Rebekah lodge 14, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars auxiliary post 3423. Survivors include two sisters. Mrs. Sadie Regan, Albany, a"nd Mrs. Effie Root, Goshen; one brother, R. B. Castlcman, Dex ter, and several nieces and nephews. MYRTLE DELL ANDERSON Mrs. Myrtle Dell Anderson, 76, formerly of Medford and Ashland, died in Los Angeles March 5. Mrs. Anderson was born Nov. 22, 1880, in Oswego, Kan., and moved to the valley in 1927. She made her home in Medford and Ashland until moving to Los Angeles last November, She is survived by one son, Robert E. Anderson of Los An geles, and two sisters, Mrs. Ida Bunnell and Mrs. Etta Eads. both of Ashland. A daughter, Mrs. Irene E. Henderson of Medford, died in 1953. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Litwil ler's Mountain View chapel in Ashland. ARTHUR C. DONAT Services for Arthur C. Donat of Rogue River, who died Wed nesday will be read by a Chris tian Scientist in Conger-Morris chapel at 11:30 a.m. Monday,. Private committal will be in Siskiyou Memorial park. Mr. Donat was born Sept." 16, 1891, in Chicago, 111. . He had made his home in Rogue River for the past 15 years. Survivors include a son, Jake Donat, San Jose, Calif., and a brother, Hugo Donat, Chicago, 111. LINDA E. TAYLOR Private funeral services for Linda E. Taylor, 10, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey Taylor, of Central Point, who died Thursday will be held at Conger-Morris Monday at 10 a.m. Dr. Dwaine E. Portland (U.R) The Oregon Journal said here today that it ; had wired Sen. John L. Mo I Clellan (D-Ark.) that it had un- I covered evidence indicating May- , or Terry Schrunk is innocent of underworld charges he accepted a bribe. The newspaper said its own in vestigators had unearthed evi dence clearing Schrunk and that the information was sent to the chairman of the Senate Labor Rackets Committee. Schrunk in Washington, D.C. 1 today denied that he took a S500 bribe from a gambler and of fered to take a lie detector test James B. Elkins, self-confessed Portland racketeer, had testified i that gambler Clifford O. Bennett j told him he paid Schrunk S500 to prevent a raid on his 8212 club.
