February 10. 1957 f '" .5- f Lone Pine PTA Announces Play By Footlighters Lone Pine A play will be presented for a meeting of Lone Pine Parent-Teacher association at the school Tuesday, February 12 at 7:30 p.m. Following the business meeting, Medford Foot lighters will present "Point of Beginning." The cast, which will be in troduced by Miss Celia Walker, includes Mr. and Mrs. Thayer Tarvin and son Terry, Dick Cor um of Medford High school, with Miss Jerry Jerome as bookhold e'd. Mothers of children in the fifth grade will be hostesses and refreshments will be served in the cafeteria. 4 Garden Club Roxy Gardeners will meet Wednesday, February 13, at the home of Mrs. Floyd Fogelquist, 1312 Queen Anne street, at 1 p.m. Mrs. Robert Stokes will be in charge of the program on "Birds" and Mrs. Guy Cox will be cc-hostess. Three Young Women To Pioneer Library Services For Nations New Brunswick, N.J. (U.P) Three young women from three continents are studying here to prepare for pioneering library programs in their native coun tries. Attending classes at the two-year - old Rutgers University Graduate School of Library Service are the Misses Solmaz Izdemir of Ankara, Turkey; Amelia Ramirez of Bogota, Co lombia, and Koebandia, who like many of her fellow Indone sians has only one name. Miss Solmaz will help launch Turkey's first school library next fall, about the same time Miss Ramirez will become libra rian in the new National Office of Agricultural Research in Co lombia. Miss Koebandia, study ing to become ministry librarian in the Indonesian Ministry of Agriculture at Djakarta, will in augurate a training course in li brary methods on her return. Routine busiess was discussed and reports were given. Miss Sally Eldon, honored queen of Bethel 38, Central Point; Miss Helen Hood, senior princess of bethel 38; and var ious visiting 'members of that bethel were introduced by Miss Garner. Miss Susan Hubbard, senior princess of Bethel 14, as well as grand representative to Hftwaii, was also introduced. Mi; Garner announced that initiation and inspection by the grand guardian's representative. will be held February 20. Prac tice for the meeting is to be Wednesday, February 13 at 3:15 p.m. for all officers. Refreshments committee mem bers for the February 20th meet ing will be the Misses Jacqueline Smith, chiarman, Shirley Ruth erford, Bernice Skoog, Cheryl Spence, Toni Spence and their mothers. Camp Fire Leaders For Talent Area Organize, Elect Talent An organizational meeting of Talent Camp Fire leaders was held recently at the home of Mrs. Frank Christian. Mrs. Ray Burnette was appointed chairman and Mrs. John Car penter, secretary to serve until June. Discussed were the Camp Fire candy sale to be held April 3 to 18, and activities for the 47th Birthday week of Camp Fire March 17 to 24. It was decided to meet the first Friday afternoon of every month in the City hall at 1 p.m. Attending the meeting were Mrs. Ray Burnette, Mrs. Car penter, Mrs. Carmen Abbott, Mrs. John Baldwin, Mrs. C. O. Long, and Mrs. Ruth Gerety, executive secretary of the Rogue Area, council of Camp Fire Girls. Refreshments were served by the hostess. Lao1 Bogs fo Hold Meeting on Monday .
