First graders in Mrs. Marjorie Shelton's room at Lincoln school made decorations for their room and also practiced making large red hearts on the painting easel. Here Jack Richey uses a big brush and poster paint while Terry Moore watches and waits his turn. V' C - vA -t "J Two valentine trees, sprayed white and decorated with red and white hearts made by the children, decorate Mrs. Marjorie Shelton's first grade room at Lincoln school. Working here on their valentines are (left to right around the table) John Greeley, Jeff Ford, Gary Lee Randle, Dawn Whipple, Kathy Bennett and Mitchell Hunt. John and Kathy are in Mrs. Marion Rice's first grade room next door. "Sweethearts" in the two first grade rooms should receive many valentines, for there are only 13 girls out of the almost SO pupils in the two rooms. Thursday the boys and girls will hold a St. Valentine's party. . i y . -4- SK5!fe Last Saturday downtown stores were filled with shoppers, young and old, looking for just the right valentine. Here Kerry O'Hara, 12, and Dennis O'Hora, 9, are shown at Newberry's store. They are son and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John O'Hara, 305 Laurel street, and altered St. Mary's school. I; ' Miss Linda Towle recently announced her en gagement to Blake Maddox of Medford during a party at the Alpha Chi Omega house at the University cf Oregon. Both are seniors in business administration and Mr. Maddox is affiliated with Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity.
