But a native tree so beautiful that it is widely used for home ornamental planting belongs far up on the register $f the for est's blue-bloods, even if it is but a very small tree. This is the fourth year Alpha Lambeia chapter will be in charge of the lily day parade to be bjaid in Medford. The state project of the sorority in Oregon is assistance to the Crippled Children's Hospital school, and most chapters also help in some phase of the Easter seal drive. A business meeting was held January 28 at the home of Mrs. William Raymond with Mrs. C. S. Price and Mrs. Lyman Smith as hostesses. Forthcoming events will be a rummage sale March 20 and the Southern Oregon- Dis trict council meeting April 7. Chapter Announces Leadership Night At its stated meeting desig nated as leadership night set for Thursday, February 7, at the Masonic hall in Jacksonville, Adarel chapter. Order of East ern Star, will pay special tribute to its past matrons and patrons and fifty-year members. Mrs. Or val Shores, worthy matron, will preside.
