J5 ' ' Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Gustasoa Wedding News Announced Here Sims Valley Mr. and Mrs. Elwood Abbott, Sams Valley, announce the marriage of their dtughter, Vera, to Harvey Gust ison, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Gustason of Omaha, Nebr. The ceremony was held in the Little Chapel at Las Vegas, Nevada, January 6. For her wedding the bride chose a pale blue wool suit and wore an orchid corsage. Tha bride is a graduate of Crtter High school and is em ployed at the Bank of America in Riverside, Calif, where the neu.lyweds are making their home. She was formerly with th First National bank in Mcai- ford. Mr. Gustason attended school in Iowa and served with the United States Marine corps. He is employed by Lewis A. Down V, a contractor in Riversida. Women Recruiters To Visit Medford Women representatives of tha four major military services of the nation will be in Medford Monday, February 4, according to information received by the local Marine corps recruiting office. The pane! is made up of one woman recruiter from the Marine corps, Navy, Air Force and Army. They are making their yearly visit to the high schools in the Rogue valley to lecture on the benefits of a career in the armed forces and to answer questions about the services. The four will start their tour of the high schools at Jackson ville on Monday and will finish up with St. Mary's on Wednes day. The women recruiters will be in their respective recruiting of fices Monday, Tuesday and Wed nesday for interviews from inter ested young women who are not in school. Mothers of young wom en who expressed their desires for a service career are encour aged to accompany their daugh ters to the recruiting offices. Westside unit will hold the monthly meeting at the Central Point Grange hall at 10:45 a.m. Thursday, February 7, with Mrs. E. O. Reinking, chairman, presiding. Program planning for next year will be discussed. Members are asked to give this matter consideration and to be ready to contribute their ideas. Bethel Announces Coming Events; Plan Snow Party Central Point At the regular meeting of Bethel 38, Interna tional Order of Job's Daughters, plans were made for a mer chants' lunch to be held Satur day, February 9, at 11 a.m. in the Central Point Masonic tem ple. Tickets may be purchased at the door or from any mem bers of the bethel. A snow party at Union Creek will be held next month and practice for Junior Bethel night will be held Monday, February 11 at 7 p.m. Crater DeMolay will have a valentine party for bethel members, following Jun ior Bethel night set for Thurs day, February 14. Workshop Planned For Scout Leaders A crafts workshop will be held for all Brownie and Inter mediate Girl Scout leaders and assistants at St. Mark's guild hall Tuesday, February 5, from 9:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. The morning session will be taken up with demonstrations of hand crafts, and with making items demon strated. Those attending are asked to bring a small amount of money to defray the expense of the cjaft material used. Wom en are to take a sack lunch and coffee will be available. February 12, 19, and 26, the following Tuesdays, will be lased to repeat the basic training course for leaders.
