Hood River House Fire Claims Second Victim Hood River (U.R) The death toll In an early morning fire here yesterday stood at two to day after a six-month-old baby died in a Portland hospital from burns suffered in the blaze. Mrs. Bob Orcutt, 25 the child's mother, was killed when the sud den fire touched off by an ex ploding oil heater leveled their home on the old Columbia river ohighway Just outside Hood River. Wismer, who owns libout 20 per cent of the Redskins' stock, charged that Marshall improp erly used for himself corpora tion funds at therate of $50,000 a year for the past 10 years. MEDFORD, COME IN and Let Facts of the LATEST 'ReippraisaF Dye I Tax Committee Salem (U.R) The Senate Tax ation Committee was unanjj mously agreed today to take "an agonizing reappraisal" of the reappraisal program on prop erty assessment in Oregon. Sen. Walter J. PtSrson of Portlaigi, chairman of the com mittee, said both Republican and Democratic members of the group agreed that reports of statewide protests at some re sults of the reappraisal program merited thorough hearings by the committee. Pearson said some inequities had been reported on non-in-c o m e property, particularly homes. The committee will hold a hearing at 7:45 p.m. Monday in the large hearing room in tha basement of the capitol, at which time tax commissioner Sam Stewart will explain the program to date. The public is invited to attend this hearing, but the first night will be con fined to hearing the explanation ofjhe program by Stewart and others. On Feb. 11 at 7:45 p.m. in this same place, the meSting will be open W hear prottts or other comment from the public. i Thornton Denies Tapes Doctored Portland (U.R) Attorney General' Robert Y. Thornton appeared in court along with his assistant, Fran cis Wade, under subDoena brought by District Attorney William M.
