Eskimo Woman Dies From Pistol Wound John Day (U.R) Mrs. Hel en Sheughnessy, a 39-year-old Eskimo woman from Portland was fatally injured by a pistol bullet early yesterday while on a hunting excursion with -tyo Portland men. John Day Police Chief Wil liam Metteer said the woman was shot at a John Day auto court Saturday morning while she and Elmer Whitlow and John Wagner, both of Portland, were preparing to go hunting. Wagner said his pistol dis charged while he was loading.it. The bullet' struck Mrs. haugh nessy in the lower left side and she died within. a few minutes. Authorities said Mrs. Shaugh nessy had been employed, by Whitlow for about 11 years. She was a divorcee and. had no known survivors.
