Longshore Wage Negotiations Resume San Francisco OI.R) Repre sentatives of the International Longshoremen's and Warehouse men's union and the Pacific Mar itime association met today in a renewal of their wage negotiations. The negotiations took place under a wage review clause of the "no strike" contract be tween the ILWU and West Coast shippers. The contract runs un til the middle of 1958. The negotiations were stalled for a week because the ILWU refused to work East and Gulf coast ships putting into Pacific coast ports. The ILWU agreed to work these ships, temporarily at least, after a 24-hour stop work meet ing Monday. At that meeting, the 18.000 West Coast longshore men gave President Harry Bridges a vote of confidence on a program of work stoppages and strikes to help the East Coast longshoremen.
