Ilex. .U Manuel Duenas. described by Mexican authorities as a known gunman, today was held for the assassina tion of local newspaperman Manuel Acrosta Mcza. Baja California Attorney Gen eral Porfilia Diaz Sibajas said Duenas was one of four men ar rested shortly after the victim was gunned down in front of his fashionable home Thursday night. Acosta Mcza had been conducting a campaign against corruption, vice and narcotics in the border city. ! Meanwhile, police posted guards outside the home of Car I los Ortega, associate of Acosta in the publishing of El Impar tial. Ortega, also president of the Lower California Newspa permen's Association. Monday told authorities he had received a telephone' threat against his life.
