Adults Gel Help It has bei n comin'inly thought thai fluoridation does nothing to help adults whose teeth are ful ly formed and. presumably, al ready on the road to decay. But the report was somewhat more hopeful, ' The effects fin the teeth of adults in the survey have not as yet been ascertained." the health service said. "However, tiie fact that a reduction in carie 'decay) was observed for teeth which had already been calci fied when fluoridation was start ed indicates that some beneficial effect may be gained by older age groups." Water fluoridation is still a contrru'ersial issue in many com munities. However, it now is en dorsed by most professional or ganizations, including the Amer ican Dental and the American Medical associations.
