CAA officials said the plane's
flight plan called for it to land
at Klamath Falls Friday night.
The craft had left Sacramento
at 4 p.m. Friday for the normal
three hour flight with a five hour
supply of gasoline
Pilot of the BT113 Vul'ee
trainer was David S. Salerno.
Hawthorne. Calif. The paencer
was identified as Miss .Jackie
West of Los Angeles, a relative
of the pilot.
The plane suffered only minor
damage in the impromtu
landing.

Adults Gel Help

help adults whose teeth are ful
ly formed and. presumably, al
ready on the road to decay. But
the report was somewhat more
hopeful,

health service said. "However,

which had already been calci
fied when fluoridation was start
ed indicates that some beneficial
effect may be gained by older
age groups."
Water fluoridation is still a
contrru'ersial issue in many com
munities. However, it now is en
dorsed by most professional or
ganizations, including the Amer
ican Dental and the American
Medical associations.

mile distant.
Both the woman, about 40.
and her assailant who disap
peared, remained unidentified
early todav. The woman was
found in a clump of bushes with
her head crushed.
The body was nude except
for a disarranged blouse. A pair
of blood-stained shorts was found
nearby.
Noticed Woman
Arthur K. Beslcy. 51. a hos
pital superintendent, said he
noticed the woman sitting near
the bushes as he scanned the
Lake Michigan shoreline with a
pair of opera glasses from his
loth-floor apartment.
Besley. who was passing time
while listening to a baseball
game. looked away briefly.
When lie saw the woman again,
he said she had moved from her
camp chair to some large rocks.
She apparently did not know
a bare-chested man was crouch
ing in the bushes and watching
her intently. He was clearly vis
ible to Besley. In his hands, the
man held what appeared to be
a white shirt.
The man came out of Hie
bushes, stood looking at the
woman for several seconds, then
ducked out of view again in the
underbrush.
Seconds later, he leaped from
the bushes, threw the shirt
around the woman's neck and
dragged her back with him. As

on the head with a rock.
