TWO MEDFORD (OREGON) MAIL TRIBUNE Local Couple United in Presbyterian JVedding In one of Medford's largest summer weddings, held Sunday, July 8 in First Presbyterian church, Miss Margaret Lucile Huson became the bride of Kenneth L. Brown. The Rev. Dr. D. Kirkland West read the single ring ceremony at four in the afternoon, with cbout 400 guests present. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Darell Huson, 45 Lindley street, Medford, and the bridegroom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Orrin Brown, 1203 Queen Anne avenue, Medford. For her wedding the bride was gowned in white lace and tulle over taffeta, fashioned with long sleeves and full, floor-length hooped skirt. Her veil fell from a cap encircled with pears and she carried a bouquet of stephan- otis and white rosebuds. She was escorted to the altar by her father. Miss Laura Mae Huson, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. She wore a frock of green net and lace, styled ballerina length, and carried a colonial style bou quet of yellow daisies and stephanotis with matching head band. Bridesmaids were Misses Joan Lawson, Spokane, Wash., and Jeanne Holmes, San Carlos, Calif., sorority sisters of the bride, and Miss Nancy Jennings, Medford. Their gowns were iden tical to that worn by the maid of honor, and their bouquets and headbands were of pink daisies and stephanotis. The candles were lighed by Misses Donna Witter and Bar bara Roach, sorority sister of the bride. They wore gowns of yel low net and lace with wristlets of green daisies. Donna Wright was flower girl. She wore a white frock and a halo of green and white. Darrel Brown served as best man for his brother, and Robert Rice, Portland; Vaughan Its from Medford's Finest Jewelers and Silversmiths NEW! The church was decorated with small bouquets of pink and white gladiolus at the pew ends and white tapers which formed a background for large white baskets of pink and white gladiolus. Wedding music was provided by Dr. Byron Arnold, uncle of the bride, organist, and Mrs. Charles Champlin,. soloist. Dr Arnold is organist for St. Luke's Episcopal church at Monrovia, Calif. For her daughter's wedding Mrs. Huson wore a gown of blue satin and lace with white acces sories and white orchid corsage. The bridegroom's mother wore a gown of pink lace over taffeta with white accessories and white orchid corsage. A reception in the garden at the home of the bride's parents followed the ceremony. Mrs. John Laird and Mrs. Ray Huson completed cutting the wedding cake, and Miss Elizabeth Burr and Mrs. Victor Sether poured tea and coffee. Mrs. Lawrence Buonocore. Miss Lorraine Land rud, Mrs. Robert Stone and Mrs. Anthony Timmer poured punch. Miss Landrud is a sorority sister of the bride from Portland, and was a princess in the May queen court of which the bride was queen this year. Mrs. Stone is a sister of the bridegroom's moth er, from Sonora, Calif., and Mrs. Timmer is a sister of the bride groom's father from Modesto, Calif. Those who assisted included Misses Karen Culbertson, Sylvia Morris. Claudia Hoover, Shirley Hopkins, Sue Donna and Rose mary Doolen, Nancy Becken and Sharon Laing, and Mrs. Don Wright, Mrs. A. L. James. Mr. and Mrs. Claud Hoover and Mr. and Mrs. T. A. Culbertson. Miss Darelyn Huson, younger sister of the bride, was in charge of the guest book at the reception. She wore a frock of white nylon with bouffant skirt. Mrs. Arthur Phillips, Mrs. Fred Phillips. Mrs. C. C. Sater, Mrs. Charles Clemens and Mrs. Ray Huson arranged the flowers for the church and the reception. Miss Nancy Jennings caught the bride's bouquet as it was tossed from the front porch of the Huson home. For her traveling attire the new Mrs. Brown chose an aqua suit with black accessories. The couple will be at home at 1002 Murray street after a wedding trip to Lake of the Woods. San Francisco, Reno and Lake Tahoe. The bride is a graduate of Medford High school and Wil lamette university. She is a member of Delta Gamma soror ity, and was very active in col lege. Some of her honors include being named Betty Co-ed, May queen and president of the Asso ciated Women students. She was also a member, of the college orchestra and choir, and held of fices in her sorority. She will be employed this fall as an interme diate vocal music instructor for the Medford school system. The bridegroom is also a grad uate of Medford High school. He served a tour of duty with the U.S. Navy, and has attended Ore gon State college and Southern Oregon college, where he will resume his studies this fall. He is currently employed by Med ford Meat company. Among the wedding guests were the bride's grandmother, Mrs. Ina Huson, Medford, and the bridegroom's grandmother, Mrs. Mary L. Parks, Oakdale, Calif. Other out of town guests included an aunt of the bride groom, Mrs. Robert Stone, her son, Larry, and grandson, Stephen Davis, all of Sonora, Calif.; two other aunts of the bridegroom, Mrs. Anthony Tim mers and Mrs. Roger Clark, and her daughter, Peggy, all of Mo desto; Roy Huson, uncle of the bride from Grants Pass: Mr. and Mrs. Owen Lee and sons, Ron ald and Donald from San Jose, Calif.: Mr. and Mrs. Al Schmeck and son. Grgich Drummond- Grgich Mass Read In Santa Barbara Mission Father Basil read the Nuptial Mass in the Santa Barbara Mis sion June 23 at 9:30 a.m. in which Miss Susan Clare Drum mond and George Michael Grgich repeated their wedding vows. The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. C. T. Drum mond of Ross lane. Mr. Grgich is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Grgich of San Pedro, Calif. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a ballerina length gown of white lace. Her shoulder tip veil of illusion was held by a thin pearl wreath. She carried a white mother-of-pearl Bible and a white orchid. Her only jewelry was a pearl choker. Miss Mary Lou Wetzel from Medford Couple Wed in Nevada Miss Jeannie Ragsdale and Leo W. Parker, both of Med ford, were married at the First Methodist church in Reno, Nev., June 23. The Rev. Stephen C. Thomas officiated. Miss Ragsdale is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Ragsdale, 160 DeHague street. Mr. Parker is the son of A. G. Parker, North Bend. For her wedding the bride wore a white ballerina length dress of imported cotton com bined with satin with white ac cessories. She wore a corsage of pink and white carnations. Red and white gladiolus in bouquets and lighted candles decorated the church. Mrs. Jack Ragsdale, sister-in-law of the bride, served as maid of honor. Best man was Jack Ragsdale, brother of the bride. The bride was given in marriage by her father. After a wedding trip to Mt. Lassen National park, Calif., the couple are at home at 513 Palm street. She wore a princess style dotted Swiss dress in lemon and carried a bouquet of white daisies with yellow satin streamers. Fred Grgich, from San Pedro, served as his brother's best man. Large bouquets of white stock decorated the mission where more than 70 people witnessed the Mass. A reception was held at the Santa Barbara Woman's Club immediately following the ceremony. The Garden Room was decorated with bouquets of white and yellow daisies, baby breath and white stock. A white wedding cake, dec orated with fragile daisies, was served. Mrs. L. C. Oberlies, grandmother of the bride from Tacoma, Wash., poured the cof fee. Out of town guests included: Mr. and Mrs. Jack Miller, aunt and uncle of the bride, Tacoma;. Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Schafer, Sacramento; and Mr. and Mrs. Scotty Fairweather of Medford. Following a wedding trip to Santo Rosearito Beach and En cenada, Mexico, the couple are at horhe at 1316 West Valerio, Santa Barbara. The bride, who is a graduate of the University of Oregon, and National College, Evanston, 111., is a teacher in the Santa Bar bara City schools. Mr. Grgich is attending the University of California at Santa Barbara and is supervisor of delinquents at the Santa Barbara juvenile hall. MAIN EST. 1908 Newlyweds to Vancouver After June Rites The Butte Falls Assembly of God church was - the setting June 23 at 3:30 p.m. for- the wedding of Mrs. Harriet Arm strong, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roger Harris of Butte Falls, to Robert H. Tracy Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Tracy Sr., of Aspen, Colo. The Rev. John Fruiten officiated. The bride wore a pink linen suit with white accessories and a pink and white rosebud cor sage. The couple was attended by Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Tungate of Medford. After the ceremony a recep tion was held at the home of the bride's mother. A four tiered wedding cake was served by Mrs. Glen Cathey while Mrs. Cecil Taunton poured the cof fee. Mrs. William Harris presid ed at the punch bowl and Mrs. Tungate was in charge of the gifts. After a wedding trip to Lake Chelan, Wash., the couple will be at home at 1004 W street, Vancouver, Wash. Mr. Tracy, who is employed by the U. S. Forest Service, was recently transferred to Washington from Butte Falls. Rickers Visited By Son's Family Capt. and Mrs. John K. Rick er and their three children, Sharon, Rickie, and Kim, arriv ed this week at Camp White for a month's visit with Captain Ricker's parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. K. Ricker. The elder Ricker is manager of the Veterans Ad ministration domiciliary. Captain Ricker has been in the far east since 1953, when he was assigned to Korea. In 1954 he was joined in Japan by his family, who have been there since. The officer is in the Army quartermaster-paratrooper ser vice, and will be assigned at Ft. Lee, Va. Girls Return From Girl Scout Roundup Miss Marv Friend, 252 Barr ave., and Miss Karen Johnson 325 Vancouver ave., returned home Saturday after attending the 12 day senior Girl Scout Roundup at Milford, Mich. The two girls were among delegation of 21 from Oregon Nearly 6,000 girls were present from around the nation. Miss Friend was chosen from the Oregon group to carry the state, flag in a Fourth of July celebration at the roundup. Sisters Visit Guests of Mis. William Chap man, Griffin Creek, last week were her three sisters from Ot tawa, Canada. They are Mrs. Stella Montgomery, Mrs. Annie McLean, and Mrs. Florence Steele. The sisters, who hadn't seen Mrs. Chapman since 1950, enjoyed sight-seeing trips down the coast and to Crater Lake. They will return to their home Tuesday.
