Taylor Family Holds Reunion At Hot Springs A reunion was held by the Taylor family at Jackson Hot Springs June 17. H. A. (Lon) Taylor, who lives at Jackson Hot springs, was joined by his four sisters, Mrs. Alice Love lace, Mrs. Hattie Evans, Mrs. Ollie Bacon and Mrs. Annie Hol lowell; four brothers, Wesley, George, Willard and Harvey, and their families. From out of town were Mrs. Lovelace, Yreka, Calif., her daughter and son-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Henry Martin, three sons Ted, Melvin and Gordon Love lace, their wives and nine grand children; Mr. and Mrs. Bill Evans, Mr. and Mrs. F. P. Sanford of Shady Cove, is appearing with the Sacra mento Music circus this summer. The "circus" is an annual event sponsored by the Sacramento Light Opera association and pro vides an opportunity for young artists to gain experience. Six popular light operas will be presented this season. Miss Sanford, a dancer and soprano, studied in Medford with Mrs. Caroline Andrews Werner, vocal teacher, and at the Colleen Hope Dance studio. jMany Teachers to Attend jNEA Meeting in Portland Jackson county delegates to the National Education Associa tion convention to be held In Portland, July 1-6, have been announced. More than 5.000 delegates of state and local education as sociations from the 48 states and District of Columbia, Ha waii, Alaska, and Puerto Rico will be present at the conven tion. Some 10-12,000 teachers and educators are expected to attend this year. Eric Johnston, special U. S. roving ambassador to the Middle East, will address the first gen eral session of the convention at Multnomah Stadium on July 2. Dr. Lee DuBridge, president of the California Institute of Technology, will speak on the subject of "Science The End less Adventure." at the third general session Friday evening. Other speakers who will be featured during the convention include Mrs. Rollin Brown, formerly of Medford and now of Los Angeles, national PTA president; Dr. Samuel Miller Brownell, U. S. Commissioner of Education and J. Addington Wagner, Battle Creek, Mich., national commander of the American Legion. According to Mrs. Maxine Smith, president of the Depart ment of Classroom Teachers, Oregon Education association, Sunday. After the convention Mrs. Turner, Mrs. Hundley, and Mrs. Smith will also attend the Na- tional Conference of the Depart ment of Classroom Teachers two-week workshop at Lewis and Clark College, Portland.
