An ordinance was adopted last night by the city council follow ing a public hearing for construc tion of a water main on Board man St. from McAndrews rd. to Ohio St., and assessing property owners within the area. Several residents who will be assessed for the watermain on Boardman St., objected on the basis they would be assessed for a water main which would not benefit them. . Coun cilmen pointed out the residents were now using water from mains for which others had been assessed. Another ordinance following the hearing was passed by the council calling for the paving of Boardman st. from Ohio st. to McAndrews rd. The council passed an ordin ance following a hearing for va cating parts of Marshall ave. The planning commission April 23 recommended that Marshall ave. through the Garfield sub division be vacated.
