Mejjford students attending Oregon State college at Corvallis are just completing a busy year and soon will
be home for the summer vacation. For seniors this is graduation week end, with baccalaureate services today, and
graduation ceremonies Monday. Pictured' here are five students relaxing a bit and trying not to think about final
examinations. Pictured (left to right) are Ricky Werner, sophomore in forestry; Miss Carole Pringle, formerly of
Medford and now of Sacramento, Calif.; Miss Bonnie Grove, a junior; Miss Sally Harris, honor roll and scholarship
student who was just pledged by Phi Kappa Phi, and Bob Sevcik, another sophomore.
Part of the campus atmosphere at Oregon State college is this set of old logging wheels. Displayed by the
department of forestry of the college, the wheels were once used to haul logs out of the woods by oxen. Perched
on top are Miss Dorothy Rhymes (at left) and Miss Pat Rukovina. Miss Rhymes is completing her freshman year
at the college, and Miss Rukovina her sophomore year. Both young women live at Sackett hall, and Miss Rhymes,
an honor roll student, has been elected vice-president of the hall for the coming year. Miss Rukovina, a business
major, is on the year book staff. '

Lottie has served as editor this year. He belongs to several campus
honor societies, and will be graduated Monday, receiving a degree

These four Joe Colleges are also glad that the busy year of study
ing and activities is almost over, and that vacation time will soon
be here. Pictured (from left to right) are PomeRoy Sorum, a junior;
Carl Mohr, just completing his sophomore year; Bob Allord and Jerry
Lambo, another junior. Young Allord played basketball for the college
during the last season.
Spring days are warm days, and many students spend their time
outdoors when possible. Pictured reading between classes are (left to
right) Wilson Moeller, Dale Coverstone and John DeZell. Young Moeller
and John DeZell, both seniors, will be graduated Monday, the former
receiving a degree in agriculture and the latter in science. Young
DeZell has been much in the news beccuse of a pre-election verbal
battle with Republican Douglas McKay. .

Dick Crain. Young Fries is another senior who will be graduating Monday. He will receive a bachelor of science
degree and has accepted a teaching fellowship at the University of Oregon for next fall for advanced study in
physics. Dick Crain's activities this past year included work with the campus model United Nations group.

Hart and Miss Carole Botes. Miss Harris and Miss Hart are graduating Monday, the former taking a degree in
education and the latter in home economics. Miss Harris has accepted a teaching position in the high school at
Beaverfon and Miss Hart wiM be married later this summer to Arthur Beavens of Alhambra, Calif.
