Khrushchev agreed Informally Thursday night that the cold war hag been reduced to a "corpse." The accord came at a French Embassy stag party for 33 guests, including Khrushchev. Premier Nikolai Bulganin and other members of the Soviet Presidium. The affair started at 8 p.m. and lasted until nearly 1 a.m. today. Toast Coxitane An exchange of toastg be tween the Russian and French leaders led to the cold war topic when Khrushchev lifted his glass to "peace and coexistance between all peoples." "The cold war resembles a corpse around which the family sits hoping to resurrect it but the corpse remains a corpse," he said. Mollet replied, "We agree to the funeral." Khrushchev added, "We, too, but there are mourners follow ing the hearse to the grave." Dulles Criticized During a discussion about world disarmament, one of the principal subjects of the formal Russo-Franco talks at the Krem lin, Khrushchev criticized U. S. Secretary of State John Foster Dulles for belittling the Soviet announcement that the army would be cut by 1,200,000 men. The Communist Party first secretary termed 'childish" Dulles' statement that the So viets were making the reduc tion in response to internal pres sures. Later the sound of the blast was heard on the ground. At least fivt . reports of the . explosion were turned in from Coos Bay, Powers, Port Orford, Bandon and Sixes. John Pickett, head of civil de fense for Coos county, said no ground damage was reported. He suggested the possibility that the blast could have been an ex ploding meteor falling into earth's atmosphere.
