Play was in two sections, guests were Mrs. Ray Wise, Medford, and Mr. and Mrs. M, T. Coode, WildervilZe. North-south winners for Sec tion A were T. J. Fuson and B. I. Sanderson, first, 78' points; Mrs. Frank Baker and Bill Hickey, second -72; Mrs. S. W. Alcorn and Mrs. William Ken nedy, third, 71H; Mrs. Richard Milestone and Mrs. Edna Miller, fourth, 62 points. East-West winners in this sec tion were Mrs. Yvonne Dalen nd Mrs. W. W. Stevenson, 89 Vi points; Mrs. Fuson and Miss Isobel Stuart, second, 70 points; Berg Marten and Don Rever niin, third, 63 i points; Mrs. C. "L. Howard and AI Gilhousen, fourth, 60 points. Section B winners, north-south, were Mr. and Mrs. Jack Love, first, IZ1 points; Mr. and Mrs. Coode, second, 76; Mrs. Fred Purdin and Asa Kimball, third. 60V4; E. K. Rickers tied with Mrs. Roy Pruitt and Dr. George Dean for fourth and fifth places East-west winners in this section were Mrs. O. O. Alenderfer and Mrs. Alto Pruitt, first, 83 points; the Jack Mitchells, second, 66; the Walter Lees, third. 65; Mrs. Fred Rehling and Arthur Sear- seth, fourth, 62'. The American Legion auxil iary prizes for veterans holding the highest scores in April were awarded to John Solheim for first, Thomas Randall for second and Mike Dillon for third. A buffet supper followed the games, with Mrs. Roy Pruitt in charge of the refreshments. She was assisted by Mrs. AleSderfer. Junior Club Plans Matting on Saturday Junior Degree of Honor club will meet Saturday, May 12, in Lincoln school gymnasium from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Mothers' day will be observed, and members are asked to bring their mothers as guests, as well as friends. Mrs. H. G. Wilson, director of the elub, will report on the De gree of Honor convention held in Portland in April which she attended. ncfletty Scout Leaders Given Training Twenty-one leaders from the Girl Scout Rogue Valley Area council participated in the an nual troop camp training course held recently at Grayback for est camp. The training course was con ducted by Miss Mary Aldrich, executive director. Mrs. Ruth Moulton, area training chairman and Mrs. William Baker, Grants Pass, district training chairman. Those attending and who are now qualified to take scouts on outings are Mrs. Pete Zimmer man, Jacksonville; Mrs. W. E. Acord, Mrs. Scott Ellis, Mrs. Maurice Ritchey, Mrs. H. J. Mc Cary, Mrs. George Lewis, Mrs. Joe McDuffy and Mrs. Richard Finch, all of Medford. The training course includes fundamentals of primitive camp ing, study of outdoor badge re quirements, health and safety standards and outdoor cookery. Members of Boy Scout Troop 20, Illinois Valley, assisted in lashing and knot-tying instruction. Tea To Be Held By Garden Club As Part of Show A tea has been planned for the Medford Garden club flower show which will be held Satur day, May 12 from 12 noon until 8 p.m. in the Hedrick Junior High school building. The theme of the show, moth er nature's flower basket will be used for the tea table arrange ments which will be under the direction of Mrs. Gerald von Ting with a committee com posed of Mrs.' Mattie Carson, Mrs. C. G. Gay, Mrs. R. H. Peterson, Mrs. Clare Austin, Mrs. Harry Barneburg, Mrs. F. F. Burk, Mrs. Thomas Cardona, Mrs. Helen Araspiger, Mrs. Jas per Hibbert and Mrs. Harry J. Fitspe trick. Meyer, announced the graduation of the eighth grade students, the cere- mony to be held the evening of May 29. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Roberts of Liberia, in western Africa, will be guests at a meeting of Medford chapter, Oregon United Nations association, set for to night. Banquet Program To Feature Music A program has been planned for the annual mother-daughter banquet to. be given at First Methodut church Friday, May 11 at 6:30 p.m. A feature of the program will be a musical skit under the direction of , Mrs. Charles Adamson and Mrs. Vern Wilson. Guest speaker of the evening will be Mrs. Clarence A. Meek er, former Medford woman now of New York City. Mrs. Meeker, who will talk on "At Home in the World," is editor of Meth odist Woman. Younger -children will be en tertained with a movie during Mrs. Meeker's talk. Meeting Planned For Electa Club Electa Social club will meet at the home of Mrs. Etta Pryor, 33 Black Oak drive, Friday, May .11, at 12 o'clock for a picnic. Mrs. Pryor is leaving Medford soon to reside at Santa Barbara, Calif. Members are asked to take table service, a salad or sand wiches. If the weather is not fair, the picnic will be held indoors. Gold HilfPTA To Meet Tonight Gold Hill New officers will be installed at a meeting of Gold Hill Parent-Teacher association set for tonight at 8 o'clock in the school gymnasium. Sewing classes will present a fashion show and reports of the State convention will be given. -This will be the last meeting of this season for the group. Refreshments will be served by mothers of children in the eighth grade. Installation Set Jackson Parent-Teacher asso ciation will meet Friday, May 11, at 2:30 p.m. in the school gymnasium. Mrs. John Benson, Medford, parliamentarian of Oregon Congress Of Parents and Teachers, will install the - new officers for the coming year. Jackson school band will play.
