Newspaper Page TextWashington Takes Meet; Records Fall Washington grade school won two classes and the medley relay and tied for first in the other class yesterday in a triangular track meet in which two records were broken and another tied. In Class A Washington won with 26 points. Jackson had 22, 2 end Roosevelt 17 Vi. Roosevelt and Washington had 26 vi each and Jackson 13 in Class B. In Class C Washington rolled up 33 35 to 27 15 by Roosevelt and 2 15 by Jackson. ' The two records which fell were in Class B. Dennis Gaster of Washington ran the 60-yard dash in 7.8 seconds and James Cabler of Washington threw the baseball 206 feet, bettering by more than 9 feet his mark set earlier this year. Jim Putney played a top game at third base for Medford and was a key in the victory with several great fielding stops. Reinking made a couple of nice running catches in center field. McClure won the 70 yard sprint, the broad jump and low hurdles. The two were on the winning relay team with Rodney Collins and Dusty Ger- bing.
