Betrothal Told At Dessert Party Thursday Evening The engagement and forth coming marriage of Miss Mar garet Jean McKay to Dreston Dale Thiel was announced last Thursday evening at a dessert party held at the apartment of the bride-elect at 15 Renault avenue. Hostesses were her roommate. Miss Mary Vanden burg, and Mrs. John Bradish. The news was announced when guests were presented small white scrolls tied with pink ribbons. Flowering quince and pink and white candles decorated the rooms and the refreshments were in the same color theme. About 20 persons attended. The bride-elect is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold B. Mc Kay of Seattle, Wash., and Mr. Thiel is a son of Mrs. Arthur Thiel, Ames, la. Miss McKay attended Linfield college at McMinnville and is now employed in Medford by the California Oregon Power company. Her fiance is a grad uate of Iowa State college and is assistant manager of the J. J. Newberry store at Roseburg. The wedding is set for August 4. Sisterhood Names Officers for Year Chapter CP of the PEO sister hood has elected and installed officers for the year 1956-1957. They are president, Mrs. I. A. Mirick; vie e-president, Mrs. Robert A. Elliott; recording sec retary, Mrs. T. M. Garhart; cor responding secretary, Mrs. D. R. Gardner; treasurer, Mrs. H. C. Drew; chaplain, Mrs. Verne H. eWilson and guard, Mrs. John Graff. Convention delegate is Mrs. I. A. Mirick with Mrs. Robert Elliott as alternate delegate. Engagement Told At Dinner Party The engagement of Miss Shir ley Boitano to Eugene Gambee was announced at a recent din ner party at the hame of the bride-elecfs parents, Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Boitano, 1710 East Main street. The bridegroom-elect is a son of Dr. and Mrs. Louis Gambee, Portland. Both are students at Seattle university where Mr. Gambee is in, his senior year of premedicine. Miss Boitano at tended St. Mary's school and was graduated from Medford High school. A fall wedding is planned. , Mrs. Harlan Bosworth Home From Trip North; Attends UN Meeting v Mrs. Harlan P. Bosworth Jr., 2425 East Main street, returned home last week after spending a few days with relatives in Salem and Eugene. In the latter city Mrs. Bos worth visited her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bosworth and small son, Brent. In Salem she was a guest of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. William G. Hughes and children, Patrick and Mau reen. Mrs. Bosworth, an officer of Medford chapter, United Na tions association, attended a meeting of the Eugene chapter while away. Rappi of Junior Formats 4 yj; J V At Gary Gustafson Is President of OSC Saddle Club Gary L. Gustafson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Gustafson, route 2. box 512, Medford, has been elected president of the newly organized Oregon State college Saddle club and also has been selected to participate in an an nual state tour of the OSC sing ing group, the Choralaires. Young Gustafson, a junior majoring in agriculture, is one of 50 students who make up the singing group with Robert Walls, head of the music department, as director. Concerts are planned in several Oregon cities in April. The young man is a 1953 grad uate of Medford Senior high school and a past captain of the Junior posse. He is a member of the Jackson County Mounted Sheriff's posse drill team. June Ceremony Planned by Couple Raymond J. Singler, 531 South Ivy street, announces the en gagement of his daughter, Miss Joanne Marie Singler, to John ny Lee Kezer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold S.
