Mrs. Mapy Workman Christ ensen, of American Falls, Ida., arrived here last Friday after a chance visit to a Portland home by two missionaries had led to the 62-year-old mother's learning the identity of one of two missing sons. The story-book climax to the 32-year search began to unfold last February when the mis sionary ladies visited the home Veferinarian Confers On Turkey Handling Salem (U.R) State Veterin arian Dr. K. Foam Rubber Mattress Sent To Prince Rainier London (U.R) A double bed size foam rubber mattress was enroute to Monaco today as a wedding present to Prince Rainier III and actress Grace Kelly. The mattress, a gift from a Lawrence, Mass., manufacturer, passed through London airport en route to Monte Carlo. It was addressed simply to "Prince Rainier and his princess, Monaco." of Mrs. Gilbert Darling here. Second Link Comes Mrs. Darling happened to mention that her husband had long been anxious to learn - the identity of his real parents. He had been adopted from a Boise children's home while very young. The second link in the "chain came when the missionaries la ter called on another Portland resident, Mrs. John L. Cook. She mentioned she had lived in Idaho and by chance they men tioned Mrs. Darling and her husband's hope to some day find his mother. To Mrs Cook the talk was not idle chatter. The mention of Mrs. Mary Workman as the long lost mother rang crystal clear. Mrs. Workman, now Mrs. Workman Christensen, was a close friend of Mrs. Cook's and had visited in Portland only a few weeks previously. The missionary ladies and Mrs. Cook broke the news to Mrs. Darling. She, wanting to be sure before she told her hus band, wrote Mrs. Christensen immediately. Wheels in Motion A few days later she had her answer. She. handed the letter to her husband arid the wheels were in motion for the reun ion. Mrs. Christensen said that she and her first husband were poor and lived on a small ranch near Rockland, Ida. They decided to separate in 1924 and the six children were placedin a children's home. After she remarried she went to reclaim the children and found only two there. Two had been adopt ed, another was being tried out by a family and her first hus band had taken one. ' The finding of her son here left her with only one missing child. Joseph Oliver, "Little Joey," was three at the time he left the home. She believes he was adopted by a well-to-do couple in Twin Falls, Ida. He would be about 35 years old now. THE What a magnificent taste it has!
