SIX MEDFORD (OREGON) MAIL TRIBUNE Days' Activities Scheduled Here By Milo Students Students of Milo academy, Milo, Ore. will be in Medford on Feb. 25 with a full schedule of events planned. The Academy Is the boarding academy of the Seventh-day Adventist church, representing southern Oregon. Worship services on Feb. 25, will be held at 11 a.m., in the auditorium of the McLoughlin Jr. High school to accomodate the anticipated large attendance. The academy will be in charge of the service which will feature their choir under . direction of W. R. Wheeler. The Missionary volunteer meeting will beheld at 4 p.m., in the McLaughlin Jr. High school under the auspices of the visit ing group. Secular music will highlight an evening program starting at 7 p.m.' in the McLaughlin Jr. High school auditorium. Mission To Be Topic Af Friends Services The Rev. and Mrs. Leland Hibbs, missionaries on furlough from the Friends mission in Bolivia, will speak at the Friends church during the opening as sembly of Sunday school,,, Feb 26 at 9:45 a.m. - . At 7:30 p.m., they will. have charge of the entire service, and show pictures of mission work in Bolivia and tell of their ex periences. They have served one 4-year term as supervisors of the 3,000 acre farm on the shore of Lake Titicaca. The farm is used as a training ground in agri culture for the Indians attend ing the Friends Bible school, and serves to- support the Bible school financially from the sale of products : raised. Both Mr. and Mrs. Hibbs have been teach ers in the Bible school, which offers a 3-year course in train ing Bolivian national Christians to be pastors of the local churh es and teachers in the day schools. Conference Calls Presbyterian Men To San Francisco The National council of Pres-byterion-men will convene for the third Western area meeting this" weekend at the Sheraton Palace hotel in San Francisco. The conference sessions opened this morning with an address by Dr. Eugene parson Blake, stated clerk of the Presbyterian Gener al assembly, and president of the National Council of Churches. Haddon Robinson of New York City assumed .duties as assistant to the pastor of the First Baptist church in Medford, in the Christian Education de partment. . ...' n. The . Rev. Mr. Robinson was graduated from the Bob Jones university of Greenville, S.C. in 1951. He recently received his master of theology degree from the Dallas Theolbgical seminary in Dallas, Tex. Before coming to Medford, he was engaged in extensive evan gelistic work throughout the southwest. He plans to continue evangelistic activity during a portion of the time that he is associated with the Medford church. Robinson has also coiv ducted a radio ' program "Trea sure Chest", which was broad cast in the United States, Cent ral America and Europe. Some of these programs directed against the phiolosophy of Com munism received special com mendation from the government of Liberia. While in Texas, the pastor directed the Dallas Youth for Christ organization for two years and was active in other youth groups. Rev. James W. Neely is pastor of the local church in Medford.
