A personal tour of recreation center in building 218 found an outlet for member entertain ment in the jig-saw puzzle room. David Frisch is in charge of the activity. Accommodations are available'for 26 men to work at one time from 9 a.m. till 9 p.m. every day including Sundays and holidays. There are more than 1,000 puzzles in stock ranging from popular sizes to the 1,000 piece jumbo which have been furnished by VAVS members. Chairman Frank J. Glonning presided and following the open ing routine proceedures, manager E. K. Ricker introduced the new staff members. Dr. Pianka, chief medical officer and H. Jaffrey, assistant manager, each of whom spoke to the group. Reports of station activities, developments and improvements, and goals of the future were outlined. Committees to func tion for the Hobby Fair on March 18 were announced and plans for the show discussed. A billing is announced for a special Leap Year dance on Feb. 29 at Camp White sponsored by the DAV Trench Rats and Alley Cats of Medford. The Camp White: orchestra under Jim Rae has been engaged for the event. Entertainment features are be ing arranged" for the special quadrennial observance. Deer Hunter Gives Up; Goose Trip Brings Luck Milwaukee, . (U.R) Sta tistics show that about one hunter in 10 gets a legal buck deer during the week-long Wisconsin ' season. ' Donald Kuske's luck in dicated some 250,000 hunters go about it the wrong way. Kuske spent two days in heavy deer country in northern Wisconsin without seeing a deer. He gave it up as a bad job the third "day and went goose hunt ing in central Wisconsin's Hori con Marsh. . Yep.
