Jerome, Old Stage road, have returned home after spending the past several weeks in California. Mr. Jerome attended Shrine home coming ceremonials in Sacra mento and Oakland, Calif., and also attended the East-West foot ball gams. , . Later they visited relatives and friends- in ;San Francicso, San Mateo, San Jose, LaJolla and San Diego, as well as Sacra mento and Oakland. The sun shone but six days in the two months they were in California, the Jeromes report. Mr. Rascher has been termed "the Paganini of the saxophone" and has played in many European cities as well as in this country. Arrangements for Mr. Rasch er's appearance in Ashland were made by Huot Fisher, director of the Ashland High school band, who met the musician and heard him play last winter. February 13, 14 and 15 Mr. Rascher will visit the schools, playing and speaking, and February 15 he will be soloist with the band for a concert in the Ashland High school gymnasium. . Rites Held 1 - At Home For Couple A home ceremony January 18 wedded Miss Shirley Ann Riggs and Edmund R. Setzler. The cou ple made their wedding trip to Los Angeles and returned here last week. The bride will con tinue living in Medford and the bridegroom will leave the middle of the month for' overseas duty. He has been with the Army for the past year. The bride is an operator for the ' Pacific Tele phone and Telegraph company. Both the wedding and recep tion were held at . the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. F. Riggs, 1104 East 11th street. The bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Setzler, 2114 East Jackson street. Both young people attended Medford Senior high school. - The Rev. Raymond E. Bal- comb of First Methodist church read the double ring rites at' 7 o'clock in the evening". About 35 guests attended. White stock and blue iris decorated the rooms. ' ' Mr. Riggs gave his daughter in. marriage. She wore a light blue suit with navy blue acces sories and her bouquet was of small white roses. Mrs. Ronald Bean, matron of honor, ' wore a gray-blue suit with blue and white accessories. Her flowers were pink . carna tions. Mrs. Paul Hanlin and Miss Charlene Cook served coffee and cake for the reception held after the ceremony at the Riggs home. Mrs. Richard Riggs registered the guests. White and pink carnations provided the decorations. The bride's mother wore . a navy ' blue dress of taffeta and matching accessories. The bride groom's mother was dressed in rose lace and both wore white carnation corsages. Before entering the service the bridegroom attended South ern Oregon college. Baskets hi white flowers and white candles decorated the church. .. The bride wore a gown of white lace over slipper satin which she had made herself by hand. Her veil was .shoulder length and she carried red roses. Mrs. Clifford Crites was honor attendant for her sister, and ad ditional attendants - were . Miss Marjorie Sandfort and Mrs. Rex Kellogg, Sari Jose, sister of the bridegroom. Their: princess-style frocks were of watermelon red. street length, and they carried white carnation bouquets.. ; Sally McKay, Central Point, was flower - girl.
