This bore out eyewitness ac counts of the Tuesday night crash that the plane exploded in flight. See Long Inquiry Parshall was mum on what else the investigation had turn ed up. But he predicted the probe would be a long one. He said much depended on what the laboratory reported. The investigators questioned witnesses Friday who live near the scene of the crash. Laws Not Defined As far as he knows, Fowler said, the classification of A, B and C orchards has never been defined, and that he does not know what they are. He added that as of Sept. 1, when in creased valuations were ordered by the tax commission, it would have been impossible to make fair and just appraisals soon enough to get them on the tax rolls in time for orchardists to take advantage of the 3 per cent tax discount available by pay ments in advance of Nov. 15. The tax bills which have been mailed out include the increased valuations as determined by the commission. Fowler was represented at the hearing by Deputy District At torney Gene Piazza and by Theo dore deLooze, assistant attorney general assigned to the tax com mission.
