Peter Townsend went horseback riding at Epsom. They had not seen each other since Tuesday night. But there was enough under surface activity to keep romantic Britons speculating about the progress of their courtship. Attorney General Called Prime Minister Anthony Eden called his attorney general from a courtroom ' appearance, appar ently to give urgent advice to the Cabinet. It immediately was speculated that the advice might have to do with legal steps nec essary if Margaret does decide she will override opposition from church and family and marry Townsend. The Rev. C. O. Rhodes, editor of the ghurch of England news paper, wrote in a dispatch for the United Press that the church itself is divided on whether , a divorced person, such as Town send, might remarry. Clergy Divided He said a recent opinion poll showed that nearly half the clergy disapprove of the convo cation which says "the church should not allow the use of the marriage service in the case of anyone who has a partner still living." "They would marry in church persons who have been through the divorce courts if the circum stances warranted this." Presumably Townsend, who was the innocent partner in his divorce, would fit these "circumstances." SUICIDE BLAMED Carmarillo, Calif.
