Mrs. Xenia Nails, regional ad viser for the Camp Fire Girls in c Region No. 6, will be in Medford 'October 12 and 13. The convention will be held at the Ambassador hotel. Mr. Ward is an alternate delegate from Oregon..- Congressman James Roosevelt will be the main speaker at luncheon session to be held Oc tober 14. His topic will be in ref erence to small business in this country. Eugene Biscailux, Los Angeles, sheriff of Los Angeles county, will be a luncheon speaker that day. Spotlight at the meeting will focus on the education con ference to be held Friday under the chairmanship of G. Paul Stough, Cleveland, head of NADL's education committee. Serve with butter and syrup.. 2-8992 New Group Formed in Eaale Point Eagle Point The first regu lar meeting of the newly organ ized Parent-Teacher-Student as sociation of Eagle Point High school will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 12, in the library at the high school. Mrs, Herbert Perdue, president, will preside. Other officers for the associa tion are Stewart Hopper, vice president: Mrs. Ray Tresham, vice-president; Mrs. Robert Mey er, secretary; Mrs. Max Hicks, treasurer; Clarence Davies, his torian, and Floyd Warner, par liamentarian. Mr. Hopper, Mr. Davies and Mr. Warner are teachers in the Eagle Point High school. The main feature of the meet ing will be introduction of the high school teachers and the student representatives, and a reception in their honor. Mrs. Ed Chamberlain and Mrs. Jerry Hicks, co-chairmen of the hospi tality committee, Mrs. Raymond Palm and Mrs. Ed Gray, co chairmen of the refreshment committee, will be on hand to welcome new members and friends. Any interested person is invited to attend and anyone joining the association at this first meeting will be a charter member. Mrs. Fred Farlow, membership chairman, will be in charge of registering new members. ' Mrs. Jack Caldwell has been appointed chairman of the budg et and finance committee and a proposed budget for the coming year will be presented at the meeting. Other honored guests intro duced were Mrs. Dianne Mc Koola, grand bethel guide of Oregon and honored queen of Bethel 13, Grants Pass, Miss Rosalie ' Johnson, grand bethel marshal of Oregon and Miss Sheliah Spence, queen of Bethel 55,.Medford. Guardians and associate guardians present were Mrs. Paul Selby and Lem Manning of Bethel 55, Medford, and Mr Hiir of Bethel 13; Grants Pass., Initiation ceremonies were conducted for Miss Pat Rushton and Miss Sharon' Carr. ' Mrs. Dale Blickenstaff was in stalled as director of music. At the close of the meeting Queen Rosalie Johnson, present ed Mrs. Green with a gift. Medford Students Are Majorettes Two young Medford women have been selected as majorettes this year at the University of Oregon. Both are freshmen and both were Medford Senior High school majorettes last year. They are Miss Flori Sloniger, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. E. Sloniger, 398 Stewart avenue, and Miss Dottiie McGraw, daugh-J ter of Mr. and Mrs. Everett Mc Graw, 1650 Grand avenue. With the other majorettes se lected they will appear at all the university games. , .
