Mr. and Mrs. Clinton A. Smith returned this week from a 4,000 mile vacation trip. The Smiths were gone four weeks and re port a wonderful time visiting relatives and old friends. Most of their time was spent in Den ver, Colo, and they took several sight-seeing side trips from there. They drove home down through Idaho, visiting several National Parks along the way. J. R. Hamaker, while return ing to work at Prospect one night last week, struck and killed a deer and badly damaged his car. He was not injured. Mrs. George Noble, Bonanza, Ore., has been visiting relatives in Medford, Eagle Point, and Ashland and on Monday called on friends in Jacksonville. Mr. and Mrs. M. J.
