Mr. and Mrs. Boye have two children, Patty, 8, and Bobby, 5, and Patty attends Gold Hill ele mentary school. rswTTTO ! ! fu-:' .,., ,f i J J The photographer found Mrs. Leonard Andrews at a meeting of Women's Christian Alliance, of which she was the first president. She belongs to Amethyst Rebekah lodge. Gold Hill PTA and Southern Ore gon Society of Artists and will exhibit in the society's Greenwich Village show planned August 21 in Medford. The Andrews have three sons, John, 14, and Stephen, 10, and an older son no longer at home. Mrs. Fred Lester helps her husband run their grocery store and also is a past president of Gold Hill PTA, junior president of Jackson County PTA council and mother for Den 1, Pack 43 of the Boy Scouts. The Lesters have a daughter, Vicki, 12, and Rick, 10. Mrs. Lester works a full schedule in the store in the winter time, but spends more time at home with the children in the vacation months. Doc, is secretary of Amethyst Re bekah lodge, inside guardian of the Oregon Rebekah Assembly and also works with the Jackson county Red Cross. The Thompsons have two married sons, Pete, a sophomore at Southern Oregon college, and an older son in Ciudad Obregon, Sonora, Mexico. Their two grandchildren come north from Mexico each fall and live with the Thompsons In order to attend school in Gold Hill. Today The Medford Mail Tribune sa lutes the community of Gold Hill by reviewing the civic work of a representative group of women residents. like their neighbors and friends, the seven women pictured here are not only wives, mothers and homemakers but are also Boy Scout den mothers, teach Sunday school and hold offices in lodges and PTA. They also find time somehow to sew, garden, paint, play the piano and direct choirs. (Brainerd photos) I u smwi : -jprr Because Mrs. Norman Gail leads two choirs of Gold Hill Methodist church, she spends C considerable time at the family piano. Mrs. Gail also belongs to Amethyst Rebekah lodge, is a past president of the PTA and of Gold Hill Health unit and served as seal sale chair man for five years. The Gails have three children, Mildred, who will enter the Univer sity of Washington this fall; Grace, student at Crater High school, and Donald, in grade school. ?' 4 Mrs. O. E. Kellogg, mother of four children, is a Cub Scout den mother and teaches a class for Gold Hill Commu nity Methodist church. She will also serve as program chairman for the PTA this year, and as an active member of Medford League of Women Voters, finds time to do committee work and surveys for that group. The Kelloggs and their children, Ogden Jr., 9, Tommy, 6, Dan, 4, and Cynthia,-2, live on a ranch near Gold Hill. She is an active member of Gold Hill Grange. The Eskews' six children are Duane, Lebanon, Ore.; Roland, stationed at Fairchild base with the USAF; Jerry, who recently completed his Navy service and will enter OSC in the fall; Beth, Southern Oregon college student, Donna, a senior at Crater High school this fall and Larry, a freshman at the same school.
