Lewiston is sitting out a bye. The Emeralds ran away with the game with 13 runs in the first three innings. Wenatchee rallied for seven runs in the fifth but Jim Lee came on in relief and held the Chiefs scoreless thereafter. George Matile, Eugene Short stop, had three hits in four trips to drive in five runs and George Huffman of Eugene homered in the first frame with one runner board. . For the first time since 1952, John Sand usky won't be the starting right tackle on offense. Sandusky, a 250-pounder, will become the Ream's "swing" tackle with young Mike Mc Cormack, a faster 250-pounder and last year's middle guard, taking over as the right offen sive guard. Sandusky will be spotted on either offense or de fense, Brown said. (U.R) Challenger Archie Moore quietly defied the kayo lightning to strike him today as he observed that "Rocky Marciano has lost his punch." Champion Marciano, mean while was hard at work at his training camp in Grossinger, N.Y., trying to sweat off the extra poundage he picked up during a week end off from training to attend his sister's wedding. "I think Marciano has lost his punch," said Moore at his camp here. "In his last fight he hit Don Cockell with everything but the ring posts and Cockell finally collapsed rather than be ing knocked out. Jimmy Slade knocked out Cockell in four rounds and it took Marciano eight rounds to do it." Moore sparred one round each Tuesday with Johnny Jenkins, Clint Bacon and Joe Baski, the 260-pound former heavyweight contender. Marciano isn't anything close to 260 pounds, but he did tip the scales at an even 200 Tues day, when he returned from his "week end off." Manager Al Weill said he expects the champ ion to weigh about 187 for the title fight at Yankee stadium, Sept. 20. Lopes dominated Woods from the start. The Spokane fighter received a bloody nose in the second round and a cut over the right eye in the seventh. Woods won a TKO over Lopes in February, 1954.
