Fire Cell Medford firemen yesterday afternoon extinguished a small grass fire tvhich burned without damage on South Modoc ave., and flushed away one gaso line spill in the downtown area. Fire Marshal Truman Nelson yesterday inspected three fruit packing plants and one business occupancy .and issued six orders for correction of fire hazards. Returns Mrs. Clara Agee, 518 South Oakdale ave.. has re turned from a trip which took her to California and Indiana, she said today. She went first to Santa Barbara for the gradu ation of a granddaughter, then to Long Beach. Calif., for a week, and then by air to South Bend, Ind., where she visited her sisfers. Three guests from Long Beach returned with her, she reported. D. E. Millard officiating. Committal will be in Central Point IOOF cemetery. Pallbearers will include James C. Lusk, Roy Harnish, Hollie F. Swingle, Edward Chamberlain, Edward Putman and E. A. Mittlesteadt. The deceased was born Feb. 15, 1890, at Reese Creek, and had lived all her life in southern Oregon. She was married on Dec. 16. 1914, at Eagle Point, to Leroy A. Smith, who survives. She was a member of the Eagle Point Grange and the Commun ity Bible church. Other survivors include a son, Lyle A. Smith, Olympia, Wash.; a daughter, Mrs. Barbara E. Hickman, Eagle Point: a brother, Amos Ayres, Medford and six grandchildren. WILLIAM RAMUS Funeral services for William T. Ramus, 75, of Beall Lane, who died Sunday, will be held in Conger-Morris chapel Wednes day at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Norman K. Tully of the Jack sbnville Presbyterian church of ficiating.
