A sanitarium spokesman said doctors "have not yet completed their evaluation of her condi tion. It is anticipated that cur rent diagnostic studies will be completed early next week. Timber Sale Bids Far Above Prices Set by Appraisal Bids totaling $349,317.95 were submitted yesterday for two tracts of timber containing an estimated 9,976,000 board feet of douglas fir and other species offered for sale by the Medford district of the bureau of land management. The bids averaged 86 per cent over the appraised prices set by the bureau. Both tracts were sold in oral auction sales. Eight bidders competed for the first tract of 4,471,000 board feet located in the Pleasant creek area. Oregon Veneer com pany of Medford was successful with a bid of $37.50 for douglas fir and appraised prices for other species. The appraised price for the douglas fir on this tract was $18.90. The Robert Dollar comany of California submitted the highest bid for the second tract of 5,505,- 000 board feet located at the head of Grave creek. The com petition offered by four other bidders resulted in a bid of $37 per - thousand for douglas fir compared with an appraised price of $17.75. August Sal The next regular timber sale is planned by the bureau for Aug. 11, at which time 365,000 board feet of timber located near Cave Junction will be of fered for sale, according to Eu gene Peterson, district forester. Peterson also indicated that sug gestions of tracts to be consid ered for sale In 1956 should be submitted to his office in the Medford city hall as soon as pos sible. The deadline for submit ting such suggestions Aug. 15.
