From some where out in the Atlantic or is it the Pacific- or Antarctic? the master has masterminded, with the result that Jackie Glea son will be right back where he started at the Adelphi Theater in West 54th st The . vacationing comedian, who disappeared into some watery waste after his show on June 24 and pulled the ocean in after him," has managed to get word back that the new! new! Gleason program 30 minutes weekly of "The Honeymooners" sketches for CBS will be put on film via DuMont's newfan gled camera contraption called the "electronicam" system. The decision to use the Du Mont - converted legit theater and DuMont's new film record ing system ended a month of speculation as to where the pos sessor of the so-called $11,000, 000 contract with Buick was going to film his stuff in this town of acute TV studio space shortage. ' Familiar Stuff However, the Adelphi Studio is like old home week to Jackie, and the electronicam system, which will get its first big boost with this.tie-up? is an attractive one. It was in the Adelphi that Gleason started his rise in. TV about five years ago when he was brought in to headline temporarily a DuMont program of the period called "Cavalcade of Stars' eventually, being taken over.by CBS. DuMont claims that with the electronicam system a show can be filmed for little more than the cost of a live program where as the usual type of filmed show BUSH HOME FUnriiSIHNGS SALE Drexel, Rembrandt, Craddock, Daystrom, Mohawk Carpet and other famous brand,! 31 A This Sale Will MOre DayS Not Be Repeated Most size of any low-price car, for a truly big-car ride ... most beaittt with beautiful, all-new Forward Look styling . . . most comfort in the roomiest interiors in Plymouth's field . . . most safety and economy features . . .two top engines; the 6-cylmder PowerFlow 117 or the 167-hp Hy-Fire V-8. The cameras, work exactly as though recording a live show, yet a sec ond related lens puts the images on film simultaneously. A director can see immediately what is being recorded instead of having to wait for develop ment of film. The director con trols any number of cameras just as he does in a live show.
