Leg Fracture Max w e 1 1 Payne, Gold Hill, is at Sacred Heart hospital because of a leg fracture he received in a logging accident, attendants said today. He is an em ployee of Jake Swindler, Gold Hill, according to the report. - Chairman Vitus Wendell Wyatt, Astoria attorney and newly-elected chairman of the Oregon Republican Central com mittee, is a Medford visitor to day. He arrived yesterday and will remain in southern Oregon until Sunday, visiting party lead ers in Jackson and Josephine counties. . Baird, 67, who died Tuesday at Camp White, have been forwarded by Conger-Morris funeral home to Eugene for services and inter ment. The deceased was born Nov. 2, 1888, in Ozark, Mo., and was a veteran of World War I, serving from Sept. 23, 1918, to March 17, 1919, as a private in Company "L," 62nd Infantry.
