TWO MEDFORD (OREGON) State College Dean of Women To Speak Here Reservations are coming in from all sections of Jack;?n county for the luncheon to be held Monday, March 21, honor ing Miss Helen S. Moor, dean of women, Oregon State College, Mrs. Herb Crain reported yester day. She reminded Oregon State college mothers that Friday, March 18, is the last day upon which reservations can be made. The luncheon will be held at the Hotel Medford at noon and a cordial invitation is extended to mothers of Oregon State stu dents in all communities of the county, Mrs. John A. Carter, luncheon chairman, repeated. Mothers who have not made their reservations through some member of the committee are asked to call Mrs. Orrin Brown, 2-9301, Mrs. Frank Lambo, 2-3689, or Mrs. Henry Padgham, 2-4248, no later than Friday. Miss Moor had many years of college experience before be coming dean. She served as as sistant head of Waldo hall and as secretary to Dr. Kate W. Jameson, when she was dean of women at OSC. She will address the luncheon guests and be pre pared to answer any questions relating to campus life. A native of Toledo, Ohio-, Miss Moor received her bachelor of arts degree from Smith college in 1925 and her master of arts from Stanford University in 1935. She has taken graduate work from Columbia Univer sity Teachers college and New York University. She first came to Oregon State as assistant head of Waldo, women's dormi tory, in 1926. She served the following year as secretary to Dr. Kate W. Jameson. The fol lowing year she went to Scripps college in California as secretary to the president. From 192& to 1941 Miss Moor was dean of women and regis trar at Eastern Oregon College of Education at La Grande. From La Grande she went as dean of women to Northern Il linois College at DeAlb, where she remained for 13 years be fore coming back to Oregon State college. I EAST-SIDE. Reter, Med ford, will be installed the 34th queen of Zuleima temple, Daugh ters of the Nile, in formal cere monies to be conducted Satur day, March 19, at 8 p.m. in the boys' gymnasium at Medford Junior high school. Other new officers from Med ford are Mrs. E. Ron Rice, prin cess Badoura; Mrs. Charles W. Cook, princess recorder, and Mrs. B. L. Sanderson, princess banker. Mrs. George Guldager, Eugene, becomes junior past queen. The 1955-56 officers wers elected at the regular stated meeting of the order held last Saturday at Medford Masonic temple. Uniformed units of the group including the patrol, temple dancers and chorus, will assist in the rites. All members of the organization and their escorts are invited to attend. Miss Lee Malone Honored at Party Given in Gold Hill Gold Hill Miss Lee Malone, bride-elect of Robert Gray, was honored at a shower the eve ning of March 12. Hostesses were Mrs. William Golden and Mrs. Robert Starr, and the shower was given at the home of Mrs. Starr on upper River road. Auxiliary Gives Domiciliary Party Shady Cove Several mem bers of the auxiliary to Steel head post, Veterans of Foreign Wars, joined in a party given at Camp White domiciliary in cele bration of St. Patrick's day. It was sponsored by Department of Oregon of the auxiliary. Various games were followed by community singing and awarding of prizes. Domiciliary members who as sisted the women were Benton McPherson, decorations; William Wolfe, refreshments; Jim Rea, who played the piano for sing ing. . . Open House Sunday To Honor Couple Provolt Mr. and Mrs. H. A. McSwan, Sacramento, Calif., will be guests of honor at an open house Sunday, March. 20, at the home of their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. D. J. McSwan, Williams Creek, Provolt, in observance of their 50th wedding anniversary. Friends of the family are in vited to call between the hours of 1 and 4 o'clock in the after noon, and 6 and 10 o'clock in the evening. Mr. and Mrs. McSwan were married March 15, 1905, in Palmyra, Neb., where they re sided until moving to Sacramen to in 1941. They have four sons and one daughter, 17 grandchil dren and one great-grandchild. One son, Leland S. McSwan and family, live in the Nichols branch vicinity near Eagle Point. Fif teen members attended. The dinner will be held March 26 in the dining room of Gold Hill Community church. Several members of the Gold Hill WSCS plan to attend a sub district meeting of the organiza tion to be held in the Grants Pass Methodist church March 23. A nominating committee com posed of Mrs. Gerald Gear, Mrs. Ferd Jones and Mrs. Malloy was chosen. Election of officers will be held at the April meeting. Mrs. Grace Bruce led the de votions and Mrs. Roy Eskew took charge of the lesson per iod. Melt the butter in a skillet, and add the pimento, mushroom and coarsely chopped eggs to the cheese sauce. Butter a VA quart ring-mold type casserole, and pack with rice.
