IV vl MAIL TRIBUNE THIRTEEN Radioactive Rain Blamed on Russia Tokyo (U.R) A, Japanese ; scientist reported today that ra-. dioactive rain which fell in Japan last fall resulted from Russian atomic tests held in Si-, beria at a site near Japan. 1 Dr. Haruo Miyake of the; Weather Research .Institute said ' weather observation data prov-' ed the radioactive rain came from two tests held in mid-Sep-tember and late October. He said the rain from Sept. 18-19 in Northern Japan con tained radioactivity up to 100, 000 clicks a minute per liter. ' At the time a typhoon moved into the ocean and a cold air layer moved across Japan from the north.
