CONCRETE l-."; By ALINE M0SBY United Press Correspondent First the sidewalks on Holly wood Boulevard will be inlaid with blue stars bearing the names of 4,800 movie, television and radio celebrities from the past 50 years. The newsstands and trash cans will be of con temporary design and blue, yel low and tan "California colors" says- Pratt. Star-shaped street signs will be posted at each corner. If the city approves new street lights will give the boule vard the illusion of glittering in stars. In future years, if the budget holds out, plastic canopies will be placed over th sidewalks and trees on the curbings. A huge metal arch also is scheduled toj hang over the famous corner of Hollywood Blvd. and Vine St. Tourist Bureau The TV-radio networks, film studios, hotels, nightclubs and restaurants are pitching in to operate a "Hollywood Tourist Bureau" to handle tours and broadcast tickets for visitors. The movie studios also plan to open a "Movie Museum" where for the first time tourists can see props, cameras, movie sets and mementoes of motion pic tures. Property owners are giving Hollywood a "new look," ' too. Capitol records are nearly fin ished' with the first ground of fice building near Hollywood and Vine. Three hotels have been remodeled. Max Factor plans to build a new cosmetic factory in the area. Even the old Hollywood Hotel is due to be torn down and replaced by a new hotel and office bujlding.
