Then D'Olivio-netted a free marker and tallied from the field on a rebounder for 1J to' 10 Pelican advantage. ' ' ' Tornado Goes Ahead ; Kalapus came back with a re bound shot 'for 12 to" 11 and the Tornado was' in front for good. Lanky Jerry made the first of two free attempts.' On his miss of the second, Kastner intercept ed the Pelican tip out and. flick ed in a basket from the- side. Medford- lead at the quarter close was 15 to 11. r , i, -t. . Medf ord's jayvees overcame Klamath 48 to 44 after lagging for the -biggest portion of the game. ; It was the junior Tor- naao s ixn victory . ot tne -sea son.: .The team is unbeaten. . : Klamath's jayvees, spurred by big Earl Tichenor, held the up per hand 15 to 10 at the quarter and 23 to 15 at the half. Two free shots by Larry Gober with dVz minutes gone by in the third quarter, gave Medford it's first lead of the game, 26 to 25. The Tornado expanded to .30 to 25 and . 32 to. 27 but was' on top only 32 to 31 at the end ol the quarter. ' . - ;r .;-:A : Field goals were even at four apiece in .the last period. Charles Inskeep's long shot gave the edge back to Med ford 34 to 33 but Tichenor got a gifter for a deadlock. Gober of Medford and McGill of Klam ath traded free shots for 35-all and John Hawley got two char ity throws iand Larry-Perkins one for a 38 to 35 Medford ad vantage. Perkins swished a shot from behind the "key for 40 . to 35. Buckets by Tichenor and' Mc Gill, ' however, cut it to 40 to 39. Inskeep got a free one and a field shot for 43 to 39 Tor nado lead. Gober; flipped in two free chances and Perkins scored from afield while Tichenor 'got a gift shot. That made it 47 to 40 for Medford.
