Local and Personal Admitted Johnny Muse, 10- year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Muse, route 1, box 455, Central Point, was admitted -to Community hospital today for surgery, it was reported at the hospital this morning. ' Bike Stolen A bicycle be longing to the son of Dorothy Earline White, 802 West -Jack son st., Apartment 1, was re ported stolen from 715 Clark st., between Jan. 11 and 13, accord ing to city police records. - -Thefts Admitted A 14-year- old Medford youth has admitted several small thefts from the Jackson grade school during 'the last six months, according to city police. Included were pens, pencils - and small amounts of money from school desks, po lice said. FOE Meeting The Fraternal Order of Eagles will meet Thurs day at 8 pjn. in the hall at 219 West Main st. Third reading will be given the new by-laws, which will then be voted on. The meet ing will be followed by comedy entertainment. At the last meet ing Lyle Pickell was nominated, elected and installed as the new trustee. J : v . i : Two Dogs Poisoned In City, Police Say Two dogs were reported poi oned in Medford yesterday and today, according to city police records. A ' dog owned by - Wendell Stafford Spence, 118 Florence ave., was expected to live after being treated by a veterinarian yesterday, police said. Francis A. Shreeve, 736 Oak st.,. reported to city police this morning that someone had poisoned her dog. No other de tails were immediately avail able. The number of cases of. chick enpox and pneumonia in the county rose last week, bringing the total number of commun icable diseases reported to the county health office to 30. Chickenpox cases totaled 13, scattered throughout the coun ty, and there were 8 pneumonia cases, five of them in Ashland. U.R) A ' 43-year-old accused murderer .was ready to return to Oklahoma to day to face charges of brutally stabbing to death a California woman for whose" slaying he was placed on ' the FBI's 10 most wanted list. The suspect, Otto Austin Loel, Waverly, O., agreed to Waive extradition and was placed un der $50,000 bond yesterday aft ernoon at an arraignment. A drunken spree under an as sumed name led police to Loel, who had been living in' a palm- thatched lean-to at the city dump while working as a junk peddler. The FBI charged ' him with fleeing Oklahoma City to avoid prosecution for the brutal knife slaying of .Elizabeth .Jeanne Henderson, about 34, Compton, Calif.
